Here we go, rant time:

It's ok for developers to take time to make a game. And it DOES NOT mean because they are taking their time, it's not a "car crash" (I wish I could read comments that are not the IQ of 12).

Let's just wait for the game to come out instead of ****ing judging it before it even has a ship date.

Games are bigger, more complex, intricately made pieces of software. You can't make sequels to games on the same budget/time frame you did from the previous one anymore because the time to make assets and complex code increases each time.

For **** sake.
Developers took their time with Gollum, another Nacon IP. Look how that turned out.

Could it be they're delaying it to add player homes, after the disappointment around the central hub idea? That would be a worthy reason to do so.

I hope its....

they probably saw the crew motorfest and realized how bad their game is . They don't wanna release this mobile game in the same time window as the crew. Seriously tho with those graphics, the longer they wait the more outdated the game will look.

The screenshots they already posted gave me strong vibes of heavily touched up Unreal Engine 4, so I'm wondering if they decided to push it back so they could move everything over to UE5 instead. Which would be a smart move on their part, because UE4 is rather ugly unless you bog it down with tons of resource heavy post-processing.

Switch afaik is still listed as a suppoerted platform. UE5 would be very CPU internsive for the switch.

They use their own KT Engine right? not UE?

I thought the game was running on a modified version of KT's WRC engine; if its anything like the Switch versions of the past few WRC titles, expect it to run but not be particularly refined or good looking.

It would be better to have another publisher than Nacon. Nacon games are non-polished, have only few patches and many game design flaws. "Thanks" to Nacon for killing last WRCs, Steelrising, Gollum, Blood bowl, Tennis World Tour, TT Isle of Man...I'm sure that destiny of TDU SC will be the same

Well thats what you will get with yearly titles, just look at the F1 games and Nascar games.

Tdu is not a yearly title, so WAY more time can be had refining it.

I hope this game is good. Please be good, and innovative!

I couldn't be LESS interested in The Crew Motorfest, so I am hoping this showing is more than just a poor Horizon clone.

There's a shake-up at Kylotonn right now just before the day of the TDU Showcase that could put things into major wrench.

The studio workers took advantage of this moment to ask Nacon if the group would commit to providing more resources for Kylotonn and the group’s studios in general. The aim is to give the studio employee representatives more room to breathe in their negotiations with the studio heads, and to prevent studio management from using Nacon as an excuse to avoid mandatory negotiations.

Laurent Honoret replied: « No ». He added that it was the studio management’s prerogative to negotiate more budget with Nacon. This statement shattered the excuses of Kylotonn’s management, who has always blamed Nacon for the lack of negotiation.

Oh hey, abusive/incompetent management strangling the workers' ability to do their jobs correctly. Who'd a thunk it?

They're really keeping the TDU spirit alive by having a backwards thinking publisher making stupid decisions. If anything, I think Atari taking it back would be an improvement.
