test my time please .

Hi, just joined yesterday and was hoping find out if i'm up to standard with my racing .

I looked at the courses and picked out deep forrest as a good choice using the S class Toms Castrol Supra and the Denso Sard Supra to get my best time .

I am hoping other members will post their times for this run which i done on free run in arcade mode

Here's a run down of times , i'll update accordingly :)

Wow! That's a great time there Lotus, I would give it a try but I just woke up and we all know that you cant do fast laps when your sleeply.

I just did some awesome laps following my denso ghost.

Denso-1:08.066
Castrol-1:08.083
 
i had a go at this myself and didn't beat you by much , so trust me your fast man wooooh! anyway my best time in the castrol supra is a =
1.07.683 :D well done and keep them laps coming :cool: :cool:

I am going to go try and do this as well. I will TRY to get close to Mr Persistance. You know your good when your time is close to his. :thumbsup:
 
Man looks like all of you are faster than me. In the Castrol Toms I got 1'09.083 that is a respectable time if you ask me. :cool: I at least got below 1'10.000 like I wanted. I am going to go try with the Denso now.
 
I don't think I could touch those speeds, so I'm not even going to try. Well, I will but I won't tell you guys about it (:

i just bettered my denso time on deep forrest , and edited it accordingly
good times being posted , my times seem quite reasonable , thanks for taking part guys;)
 
Your Denso time is great Lotus!

I dont know if your are newbie to the game but for a newbie on the site your fast!! Being only half a sec behind mr persistance is quite an accomplishment for a newbie and for most members!

alright lotus , good times there man , i just had a go with the denso and got a 1.07.489 hard pushed to beat that ! :eek: :eek:

yeah thanks zerocool , i am a very good driver in my own modest opinion , comes from watching a great teacher , who leaves me an awesome ghost to chase :eek: :eek:

A great teacher? An awesome ghost?? Thats awesome, here's a good hint i bet he/she has already told you, "follow my line exactly try to brake where i brake and exit with the absolute most speed you can."

Guys, I managed to get a measly 1:09.85 after about 10 laps. Not to happy. Thought I was reasonably fast. :mad:

I assume you guys are not touching walls at any stage? Any tips on how to stretch out a faster laptime. I struggle up the hill at the start of the lap across that bumpy right, left, right combination right before the first tunnel. Hard to make the car hold a constant line.

Give me some clues. :)

I would say you need to brake quite early for 1st corner & get a good speed on the exit , and the right left right your on about i usually tap on my accelerator if i feel it's swaying too much and brake quite hard for the corner just before the 1st tunnel and power out of it . Hope this works for you :)
 
Thanks man. I'll work that section of the track more tommorow. I see heaps of room for improvement but I know I need to put more time in. I find that first corner has a deceptive apex. I tend to power on to early in it and run wide. I absolutely love these casual sort of time trial challanges. :D

What times do you run on time trial mountain in free run mode with Tom's Castrol Supra?? (My favorite track of course)

Hey fellas, I was just cruising the web and came across this thread. I had a bit of time before getting ready to see Australia qualify for the soccer worldcup, so i switched on the ole PS2 and took the DENSO out for 8 laps. Have not really raced all that much of Deep Forest in GT3 but was happy with my first time of -

1'07.921

If i get some time tommorrow then i'll drag the CASTROL TOMS SUPRA out for a few laps and hopefully shave a bit of time off.

hey good time man , i'm currently trying a fully moded 787b at midfield my best time is a 56.799 at the moment but i'm gonna hit a 55 soon nice one mate ;) :cool:

Good to see you running the 787B at Midfeld. My PB so far is 56.392, but i'm hopeing to break into the 55.xxx's. I'll post a link to the GTF thread soon.

Now, i'd better go and practice with the TOMS supra.

BTW- what ASM and TCS setting are you using for these arcade supras. I'm running with ASM off and TCS on.

But i suppose that with sub 500hp and pretty good grip, TCS is not really needed. I'll have to give it a go.

if you don't mind , i'd like to give you boys a go in about an hour or so...i'll post my best times for those two cars later on tonight ;)
 
so far with the DENSO, i've managed a 1:07:908 but if i improve i'll send in my new time .....nice times boys ;)
 
after i got my 1:07:908 with the DENSO i tried to improve on my time and noticed the oil light on!.......who know's how long it's been like that.....anyways i think i've been losing some serious power on the straights so i'll exit and restart so i'll have a new car....that could be an indication on why i haven't beat mr. persistence yet :eek: i was starting to doubt the time posted by him b/c i was maxing right out and still 5 TENTHS!! behind but now i know why ...i'll go try with a fresh car
