TGT or CSL

I still have the in game ffb torque set at five, and it's a lot. I'm not sure exactly what I'm loosing turning the ffb sensitivity down to one. I had it at eight with the T-GT.
If you don’t notice it. All the better! The setting is more subtle in nature. Like the tone and FX settings in PCars. It’s more for the people who are obsessed with the perfect FFB settings. In Gt6 it was more noticeable and it would feel a bit floaty when set to low when cornering. In GT sport it’s less pronounced. But difficult to explain from the description. I guess the best discription is when you test it at 10 you wheel the tires a bit more and at 1 it’s less pronounced. But it’s still there.

Strong force feedback is a fad. Its being hyped by tm to sell wheels, which is why the tgt rim is so small. All the reviewers noticed it and commented on it. I didnt think it was a big deal til I tried the csl and realized I had more fine control. The csl has just enough subtle feedback for me. Its the right balance of feedback and control, and I am able to GET the right balance with the wheel settings. Tgt gives you less options to find the right balance for you. You have to settle for game menu settings, which frankly are very limited. Contrary to what Polyphony wants you to believe they have not perfected this simulation thing. Even 15m dollar flight simulators come up short sometimes. Its a daunting task. So if Im looking for realism in control, Ill want more options to help get it right.

There is so much wrong in this comment. I could not stay quiet.

Strong feedback: a strong motor is not only about the strength. It is about the fidelity in the FFB. Small details will be communicated clearer that’s why people in the sim community crave for direct drive as well as Fanatec developing. Why would you ever think it’s a hype created by Thrustmaster!?!? I know your new to wheels, but at least do your research!!! The CSL main selling point is fast and powerful FFB otherwise you could have bought a lower end wheel. You paid $$$ for a a single belt drive wheel with brushless servo motor yet claim Strong ffb is a fad??

Adjustability: almost every ffb wheel you use will have adjustability in their software similair to fanatec to fine tune your preference:

Fanatec is better because they offer it on the tuning menu on the wheel and on the fly. But you are suggesting other wheels don’t have adjustability. With TM you actually can adjust the degrees of rotation on the fly by pressing mode+left/right.

Polyphony or any other sim don’t claim to be perfect. And it’s not the ffb wheel, but the lack of simulation of G forces and motion. Th only thing ffb of a wheel is simulating is the suspension and behavior of the tires. Why bring up a 15mil simulator. That isn’t on polyphony? They are a software manufacturer , yet you are comparing them with 15 mil worth of hardware?

If you like the csl better because of build quality, tuning menu, materials used, ecosystem, loadcell brake I can fully understand. But claiming that strong FFB is a fad (edit) hyped by Thrustmaster, only to justify your own purchase, your just plain paranoid.
If you would just state your opinion i would have understood, but you are stating things as thruths and facts.

1. Of course you couldnt. 2. Hyped not created. 3. Bla bla bla...

Can those of you folks that have the Fanatec CLS, share the settings that you're using in GTS?
I've been using a thrustmaster T150 on a playseat evo for about a month, which doesn't seem to have very many adjustments.
I'm a little overwhelmed with all of the settings that I have been reading about for the Fanatec wheel, so I thought someone might be willing to share.
Thanks.

Adjusting the settings in the driver software only have an effect on pc though.. On consoles the button combination to change DOR on TM wheels is pretty much all you can do.

I run stock settings on ''purple mode'' except DRI -3 (stock setting is -5)

On GTS FFB menu i run max torque on 3 and Force Feedback sensitivity on 4.

This is by far the best feeling i can get with this wheel. Also way ahead t300rs feel in the same settings. With this settings i can even feel the gaps when crossing through the bridges on tokyo express. I could never feel the gaps with the t300rs.
