that's it. i'm sticking to my raves.

i've just got back from a night out on the town. the time is half past midnight. why so early, i hear you say?

because of a feckin dress code.

everything was going great. it was my 18th last saturday, so this is the first time i've been out on the town proper. everything was going good: i'd had about 6-7 shots (lost count, actually), but i wasn't that pissed. so, everyone decided to go up to this townie dance music place, which i wasn't too keen on, but there's some nice tottie up there (wink wink nudge nudge). so we al pile in, but the bouncer goes, "sorry mate, no trainers". wtf? they're the only pair of shoes i have, my other ones are knackered, and i have my work shoes (not wearing them, for starters). so, i come back home, got bored playing tekken tag by myself, and came on here.

but this really rubs it in.

i had the chance to go out to what i love. a good rave in milton keynes. i would have had the time of my life, but hardly anyone went. i never have to dress smart, ever. i'm ntot hat sort of person, i prefer to wear what i want, when i want.

so now it's persuaded me to not ever go into a dress coded club ever. i'm sticking to what i love, drum'n'bass, old-skool, where the atmosphere is friendly, not bumping into some dude and he asks whether you wanna fight or not.

i'd just thought this'd make an interesting point of conversation. seeing as i think dress codes are crap, what do you think?

Well mate, it's happened to me too. I've been bounced for being too drunk. Even though the bouncer SAW ME PARK MY CAR ACROSS THE STREET!!!!!

What you have to remember is:
- Bouncers are not always the sharpest knives in the drawer, and what seems logical to them probably won't to you, even if you're not drunk.
- Bouncers will refuse you entry for their reasons, and what they tell you may not actually be the real reason.

Once I was refused entry because I was wearing Cat walking boots, which weren't even against the dress code. But I was with quite a pretty girl who was quite drunk, and was being quite loud. Hence, no entry, and I got blamed.

Don't sweat it mate, just take your $$$ elsewhere.

come to think of it, i got ID'ed at the place where my old lodger used to work. i tried to persuade them to get matt and come to the door to let me in, but they said **** off and drink somewhere else.

really need to get my provisional licence, that'll show em! bitches.
