hummm...does the man have enough weight to get all the way through the coaster. I wanna try it!
Considering a lot of larger wooden coasters use brakes mid-track to prevent the trains from going too fast, and he won't be using those, I would say yes. I imagine that the second hill (first after the lift hill) is his only questionable spot.

186 foot drop and he lived.

That guy is crazy.

Holy smokes. He must've gotten absolutely rocked. I have a signed poster from Tao Berman, who held the record for a number of years (although only at 99 feet). It was up on my wall alongside the Porsche posters, made me a pretty happy kid.

Kayaks scare me as it is, I couldn't imagine going over a waterfall in one.

Seriously, they go upside down, then flip back up...all while sitting on their butt...how?!

It's freaking scary. In whitewater, you're chest-deep in water the entire time. You don't get to appreciate the power of mother nature and the lethality of simple moving water until you're in that situation. Nothing like going down 50 yards of class III water completely upside-down trying to pull back up. That said, I've never had a greater adrenaline rush than whitewater kayaking.

On topic, here's the coolest photo I've seen of the recent eclipse:

Holy crap, that is an astonishing photo!👍

Do you happen to know what camera/lens did the photographer use for this image?

Is that a real image or a photoshop? Looks like a dragon with ears and all... plus, the head alone is the same size as the egg.

No clue, but my news reader links to this:

Unless National Geographic has taken up photoshopping, it is real. Having witnessed multiple baby chicks hatch from eggs I always find myself amazed at just how crammed things born from external eggs must be just before hatching. I imagine that a crococile in an egg is curled around on itself.

I tried to find an x-ray of a crocodile egg, but couldn't. I did find this, which shows a newborn crocodile with its egg. Definitely a tight fit.

The engine pic makes me sad. But it is a great shot.

Thanks
I have some from different angles and of the driveshaft if you want to see them.
On that same beach there was a dead seal and dead penguin which were pretty grim :ill:
I also found a shell that was purple, red and yellow! I gave it to my mum though cause she kind of collects shells
Did anyone see the swimmer in the cloud?!

Glad you made the thread 👍

Unless National Geographic has taken up photoshopping, it is real.

Actually, you'd be surprised. National Geographic recently ran a photography contest, awarding a top prize to a clearly-shopped photo. It ran on their website with the other winners briefly, until a collective WTF from anyone with any logic got to their editors. It was taken down and prize revoked.

See Australia is such a V8 craving country we even have them turning up at our beaches!

This lonely V8 didn't get washed up...
I do believe that someone launched themselves off of a cliff :embarrassed: (not deliberately of course)
I could probably trace the car as the serial number is still on the engine block 💡
It is probably from some sub-25 year old's Commodore though!
