I used to watch that show. They they had one with a guy who took pictures of water drops who helped them set up a slow motion capture of two drops crashing into each other. That was neat, too.

Ya, my dog also gets insanely happy every day I get home. That's one of the things I love about them and another 'nail in the coffin' of the reasons I wouldn't have a cat.

Every time I come home my cat comes running in from wherever he is, assuming he isn't sitting by the door waiting for me, and then rubs against my legs meowing as I go in and follows me until he calms down or the dog attacks him. And he isn't just wanting in because my wife gets home about an hour or two before me every day. The dog, on the other hand, will run to me as I walk in, take a single sniff at my shoe, and then run back to my wife.

Of course, this brings up an interesting thought, you can clearly see a shadow from the rings on the planet's surface. Those shadows would move as the year progressed, but would those areas in shadows have days of night-like darkness, or just eclipse-like dimness? Would it create this wave of cooler air that moved around the planet throughout the year? It would fall on the winter side of the Earth, so it would already be in the cool season. Would it create an even colder winter, or being in an already limited sunlight area, would it have its effect minimized somewhat?
