That's unbelievably cute.
I just don't understand why we had to do it over a thousand times! What did we learn more from the 100th time compared to the first and the 1,000th!? Were we 'manufacturing' something with all these blasts? Some byproduct we needed?
I had no ideia of the amount of blasts you guys made, and thats just stupid! What a waste of energy, and to learn/find out what?! The russians are no better... Like kids whatching things blow up! That amount of energy could feed the planet for years and years to come:idea:! (not to mention the money spent)
A combination of things:I just don't understand why we had to do it over a thousand times! What did we learn more from the 100th time compared to the first and the 1,000th!? Were we 'manufacturing' something with all these blasts? Some byproduct we needed?
Not even the Soviet Union wanted that on their shoulders.
Untrue. Unfortunately. The guy, who was supposed to "hit the trigger", when the order would come, actually did NOT hit it. Yes, that means, he was ordered to push the button to release numerous nuclear rockets on the USA, Russia confused some weather phenomenon with American nuclear rockets.
This man is one of the biggest heroes in history. So, what did happen to him you make ask? Well, he was decapitated from the military and lives now in poverty in a flat in Moscow, alone.
True story.
