The best GT5 cars according to stormbringer!

Really great work. I have a suggestion though. Perhaps you could update the first post with a log style set of updates each time you add cars? For example, at the bottom of the post just put "December 21st: Tested the Gallardo, got 1:30.xxx"

It's hard to keep track of what cars are new on your test list.

Ive started writing the word "new" next to recently tested cars.
should be better than nothing

Hope to see the GT by Citroën Road Car, just to see if there is any difference in perfomance of the two cars. But I suppose they are equally fast :)

So, has anyone been able to get a good performance from the RUF yellow bird?
I really want her to perform well. but mine handles like crap. is it just me?

Just tried it myself. It definately helps, but the Yellow Bird is still a hard car to drive, obviously. Stock Yellow Bird with hard racing tyres here: 1.19.4xx - pretty good for a car with <400bhp, but far from today's supercars :)

Thats a pretty good setup. drastic change. Still quite a bit of oversteer. its a good template to start with. I worked on the settings a bit to compensate for the oversteer. She drives a bit better now for my taste. Managed a lap time of 1:14 which is 3 seconds faster than my old one, and 1 sec faster than the ctr2 and rgt. (Will have to test those 2 again) I know now the yellowbird, ctr2 and rgt can be adjusted better to drive. thanks to u. they should really be up to par with the ferrari F40. i can feel it! Gonna work on em again tomorrow.

thanks for posting that link for me.

No problem :)
Sounds like a good time, even for a fully tuned Yellow Bird with soft racing tyres - about the same time as my stock Enzo did earlier today. How many attempts did you need, just curious?

i think i did atleast 6 to 8 trials. but im not done yet.

I try to check the used store every 5 races. I've seen it 3 times and I'm 1/2 through level 33. That's were I got it for 14.4 mil Cr.

The closest car it drives like is the Minolta, but the 2J sticks a little better. By far the fastest American car on a curved track. Does the 5 lap American Champ. Laguna Seca in about 6.25 while the AI takes over 7 minutes.

Strangest thing about it is the adjustable trans. is a 3 speed! I love driving it though.

And surprised to see thath the R390 road car is ranked that high on the list...

Just had a looooong day of farming yesterday, went on a crazy shopping spree.

The R390 is awesome. really good grip/braking for a road car. have you tried it?
Its going to be in my top 5 road cars.

I remember it being good in GT4 without that many hp. I am already on the lookout for it, but it's sadly a rare car it seems.
As far as the LM cars: I don't think there's a big difference in them - choose whatever you like and they will do just as good as the others. I only have 3 (MINOLTA, R89C and R10) and from what I've experienced the MINOLTA has much better handling than the R89C.

Road cars are the must fun :) And better looking.

ur right. they are all very similar. its hard to objectively compare them, or find their faults.

Minolta is one of the best. and the sauber. i preffered the Audi R8 over the the R10 for sure.
The nissan cars are all kick ass (i feel turismo is biased towards them, they all shouldnt be this good)

at the end of the day, i agree with u, each one of em is as good as the other.
it all boils down to personal bias and preferences

that car sucks

Which car? If you mean the Furai: Nope. The Furai doesn't suck if it has soft racing tyres equipped - it's almost on same level as the LMP cars if it has. If not then it's very hard to handle as it has so much power.

Well, since you have the GT by Citroën Concept I have to ask: Is it true that it can't be modded? I was told once that it was faster than the GT by Citroën Race Car as well.

you are right. That is a good car 👍 Its one of the ones i tested on my first day and never looked back at it. my bad. thanks for pointing that out.
did some more suspension tweaks and she gave me a much better lap time this time around. handled much better too.

Yup, I knew it. 👍

The Tuscan, the RM MK4 GTI and the SLS are my favs around nurburgring. And if any car is my fav around the ring, then its a damn good car lol

ya, theres nothing u can add, no turbos, engine mods, weight redux etc.
im sure they mustve made the race car better, otherwise whats the point of the "race car" @5Mil? if it isnt faster, it must handle better.

You find the 22B yet?

Ive been on the lookout, but i never see one. How much is it btw?
