Does anybody know what the best Skyline is in the game?

I mean the ones in the Nissan garage, because I want to buy one, but don't have a lot of money to experiment...

I thought one of those Nür beasts (cos they look cool^^),
no really, it's for maximum (fully tuned offcourse :sly: ) power...

I appreciate your help

Greetings to you all
TjOeNeR (Which - pronounced in dutch - says tuner :sly: )

The stock models: R34 M-Spec Nür
The tuned models: Mine's Skyline R34
The racing models: Xanavi Nismo Skyline JGTC (that red one)

But that's just my opinion. :)

See the bottom of this thread for a comparison:

Out of the production models:
I believe it'll depend on the course. The VspecII Nur has more power (900+) but the Mspec Nur has better brakes and more stability in the corners. I did a one lap comparison of the two using settings that I posted on the forum without using NOS. The videos of the one lap run is posted as "VspecII_Nur.mpg" and "Mspec_Nur.mpg" here: http://f2.pg.briefcase.yahoo.com/i81u812@sbcglobal.net
The 2 cars are using the exact same settings. What the VspecII lacks in braking it makes up for in power. Their laptimes are separated by a hair (46.529 Mspec vs 46.551 Vspec2)
These are very good lap times BTW. ;)

I used a NOS powered 900+ hp Skyline to set one of the faster non-race car times on the GTP leader board:

There are some real BS artist out there who make up lap times too. RX7 running 43 on Tsukuba, I'll believe it when I see it, but here is the pic from my run in the Skyline:

But I believe that on NOS, the Mspec Nur is even faster.

Not really. There are differences in braking and AWD performance between different grades of the same year model. Generally, I agree that the latest Nür edition is the best, as it's the stiffest, with the best traction. Older and lower models also understeer more.

You don't think they'd put in a few dozen Skylines and have them exactly the same, do you? :dopey:

I have to say that the older R33 models look a lot better than the R34s, but that's just my dated opinion :)

As for the best one, I think the Falken Racing GT-R is a very nice car to drive but it's a little bit short on power. I see that as a good thing though, too much power can upset a car easily. Also, I don't like the Xanavi... Don't ask why. All you Skyline lovers might as well take a look at the Skyline Squadron team (link in my sig) 👍

I'm going to say that the R32 V-Spec II is the best stock, mostly due to the fact that it's more tossible due to it's lower weight and thinner tires. Tuner, the best one is probably the Carbon R, but only if you put it on some slicks. Without slicks, the Mine's is better. Race, I would say the '99 Pennzoil Nismo GT-R, as it is just as fast as any of the other ones (barring the Xanavi '03) and it saves tires comprably.
