pinball1973This thread inspired me to dust off my Mercedes Benz 300SL. Since this is the 50th anniversary of Stirling Moss & Denis Jenkinson's epic Mille Miglia drive, I thought I would stage a bit of a tribute. Sadly GT4 didn't include the 8 cylinder SLR that Sir Stirling tossed around the thousand miles of Italian roads for a little over 10 hours, so I had to do the best I could with my heavily modified 6 cylinder in the 1954 SL. Hope you enjoy!

FWA2500thats what i was going for, didnt want it to look like a pro took it, thats also why i didnt zoom in....tried to make it look like it was from a prewar leica or so that didnt have a zoom.....
also tried to make it look like it had been aroun the block a few times if you know what i mean, this was the 1930s after all .....did them both in 5 minutes before school this morning, lol

Yeah I know, I did that because it's a pretty detailed (close-up) photo, so I figured it'd be a bit better quality.The Mercedes might be a tad too 'clean', however.
Very nice shots. However, like many b/w photo's i've seen here they're a bit "flat" (the depth of the shades). Ofcourse this might be intentional, to have those light details accentuated, but I took the liberty editing them (can't use my own photo's yet, you know). What do you (everybody) think?telfer
