The Black And White Thread

To be totally honest, I don't see much really good B/W skills. I mean, most photos are really cool, but they're not particularly using the B/W element you know. But not all ofcourse, I particularly like these two:
Div is back
Rex-Kramer
I'll get a USB device in a couple of weeks so from then I can post my photos too.

I'm loving all the American Muscle!!!

Ps. If possible, Can someone make a pic of a 65'Shelby G.T. 500 and a Camaro on the Vegas Drag Strip? That pic would be sweet if both were turning up some smoke!

OOH ... very nice photo's everyone :)
Black and white looks like there is heaps of meaning behind the photo

Anyway, some of mine:

Comments would be great. (Hint Hint)

I like the brake detail in #1, and I really love the racecars at Tokyo! đź‘Ť

it is real. I have been there. Just hop on the Ginza subway line and get off at Aoyama Icchome.

did you see any skylines driving around,... i´d love to see one in real live, but there´s no chance to see one in Austria,... :grumpy:

oh i think you could be right,... didn´t look at the location he entered...

i have to go there someday too, must be amazing...

I've been to Japan (winter '03 - '04) to visit my in-laws. It was in Fukuoka though, not Tokyo. (I live in Europe). But it's really like being inside Gran Turismo. I didn't look for Skylines though, but I'm sure they're there. But many cars are like, lowered, with wings, and loud exhausts, and the wheels of ALL the cars are either racing-type or chromed. Also there are many futuristic designs which only reach Europe much later like the Nissan Z, Mazda RX-8, Nissan Cube, Toyota bB, I've all seen em there. Also classic cars are so well preserved they really look brand new. I took lot's of photo's and I will start a thread with them but I don't have access to them untill a couple of weeks from now. On itself, the cars aren't THAT special but it's the frequency that really amazed me (e.g. every day I saw at least several Toyota bB's). I'll be visiting Japan (hopefully) every winter, so I'll be on the lookout for the GT4 fans that can't make it to there.
It's really worth a visit though!

This thread inspired me to dust off my Mercedes Benz 300SL. Since this is the 50th anniversary of Stirling Moss & Denis Jenkinson's epic Mille Miglia drive, I thought I would stage a bit of a tribute. Sadly GT4 didn't include the 8 cylinder SLR that Sir Stirling tossed around the thousand miles of Italian roads for a little over 10 hours, so I had to do the best I could with my heavily modified 6 cylinder in the 1954 SL. Hope you enjoy!
