The SSMDG Classicsracer V8 Sportscar Showdown 2024 is a highly anticipated sprint race championship that brings together the best of the modern V8 sportscar, including models from BMW, Camaro, Ford and Mercedes Benz. These cars have been tuned to deliver 475 horsepower and have a base weight of less than 1,280kg, making for an exciting and competitive race.
(Note: The race management team identified a performance discrepancy with the modified Dodge Charger following the GT7 1.40 update. After conducting thorough testing, they have made the decision to replace it with the BMW M4 to ensure a balanced performance across all race cars in this championship.)

Over the course of eight championship rounds, drivers will participate in twenty-four 55km sprint races held at circuits in America and Europe. The SSMDG race management team will use its "Balance of Performance" system to ensure that drivers of all levels, from FIA Gran Turismo veterans to competitors that are new to sim racing, have the chance to compete in close races. With the SSMDG driver-level system, racers of all skill levels will surely have a thrilling experience on the track.

Driver Introduction
The competition brings together drivers of all levels from Hong Kong and beyond. It features a diverse mix of competitors, including FIA Gran Turismo veterans as well as drivers who are new to sim racing. In addition, the championship also includes a talented female driver who represented Hong Kong in the Red Bull Esports development programme.

Twenty-four 55km sprint races over eight championship rounds are held at circuits in Europe, Brazil, Japan and Australia. SSMDG race management determines the Balance of Performance according to the Driver's Level and their race performance to ensure close racing. The championship is open to all levels of racers, from FIA Gran Turismo drivers to new drivers. SSMDG has a great Driver's Level system to ensure all levels of drivers can mix in the race.
