Just had another freeze/lock up when I had tried to enter the IB GT Kart Championship 125. It was loading up the names for the first race and froze solid before the #11 spot had appeared... Froze solid, had to do a console restart as the controller froze as well.

Edit: OK, make that twice in a row for freezing/locking up on the same kart series. Hope this issue will be resolved before it damages the file system or the console itself.

Cheers

I've been scanning this thread to see if it's been posted already but I can't seem to find it.

In an online race, if other cars make a pit stop, the moment a car stops at it's pit stall, other racers on the track will notice a brief, momentary freeze/stutter. While it may not seem like a big issue at first, and in fact, it's barely noticeable if you're not really watching out for it, if you happen to be racing closely with another car, it can result in calamity because the freezing results in some cars behaving as if they're stationary on track during that period. In one particular race at Suzuka (20 laps w/weather change), two players who had been racing literally neck and neck for 12 laps had their race end in ruins when somebody else pitted and it was as if one of the cars had hit the other dead on at 200 kmh. Both spun and stopped instantly, as if they had hit a hard wall. We all saw the same result in the replay and it was exactly at the moment when another car hit it's pit stall.

This was tested with different hosts on a variety of different tracks with the same results. It's clearly repeatable. And it's not just a momentary bit of lag--cars instantly freeze on the track for an instant. I'm just really surprised that nobody has mentioned this before.

If you race online in long/er/ish races with pit stops, make sure you're not close to another car if somebody pits.

Did you try deleting your game data file. Maybe something went wrong when installing.

Not sure if mentioned before, but putting a Turbo in the Subaru BR-Z will mute half the engine sound. And no, it's not the sound glitch. I tested many combinations like putting the turbo in the garage, before the race or time trial. It always muted the sound. When uninstalling the turbo, sound went to normal.

Now, I know turbos muffle the sound a bit in real life, but the way it sounds, it's definitely a glitch. The sound is almost imperceptible and at low revs it almost sounds like an electric car. And in GT or any other car game, putting a turbo never results in a change of sound.

It's annoying because I like the stock exhaust sound of the BR-Z and I kind of wanted to make it different than the GT86 by making it turbo and giving it an Impreza STi look.

I just ran the Red Bull Kart Challenge for the first time. I won all four races. When I went to my stats, it now show I've done 58 races, but I only have 54 wins. Before I did the challenge, I had 54 wins out of 54 races.

I don't know if this has been mentioned before, I just wanted to point out my experience.

Really annoying at Bathurst's Brock's Skyline tarmac "safe" runthru area and all other tarmacs on side of track are some alien glue sticky material, impossible to get car skid on those areas, grip is 110% or more better than any other place.
Same behavior on seen/noticed on other tracks too.

That's TCS added as Engine Power Cut.

This happens at Tsukuba too.

After the goodyear bridge at turn 5, I like to (when drifting) use the extra piece of track on the right (part of the bike variation I think). In GT5 it was good. In GT6, it's sort of sticky like you say. Bit silly I think.

The game thinks its not part of the track and think you're trying to cheat so they turn on TCS and cuts the power, like why Kitten said.

On "no penalty" online room that should be considered as normal tarmac.
Now there is places where you can take advantage from this "forced TCS", getting extra grip by taking "wide"(cheat) line. Somehow it feels more than just TCS.. like gummy sands or something like it..

this has been discussed in another thread but i encountered it for the first time last night.....In the lambo 1 make race.

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...width-changes-grip-and-balance.294129/page-12

Bought a Lambo, put some nice wheels on it, went to track and could hardly keep it from spinning at Madrid. It was almost impossible to drive, even with RH (limit of the race)

Went back and put on stock wheels with RH (after remembering above thread) and the car was 100% better. Both times were stock, only change was the wheels.......

Definately something weird going on there with that car, i didnt have the same issue with the Ferrari though in the same level. ?

-Online Frozen:mad::mad:,, i trun off my ps3 3 times in one day!!
-Skyline R34 Flash ok on R34 Touring car is perfect not just like on original one
-R390 GT1 lights (sorry my english not help me) just play with R390 GT1 on nigh and press L1 button(Rear view) and you what i mean

I've logged on, on PSN every day with GT6 since launch.

Two days ago, rather than my bonus being 200% (which it should) it went to 170%, then yesterday went to 150%.

Curious to see what happens in 2 hours! (Midnight Sunday/Monday here).

Am sure it must've been posted here before!:boggled:

Suddenly the background music goes crazy, as if the speakers of my tv have blown. The background music sounds more of a non-truncated music, which is hard to hear or digest.:banghead: It very much sounds like the modem that we had in 2000 which would make a loud dumb sound before connecting to the Internet.

This glitch has happened for the 2nd time now. Can't confirm if this is happening after installing the 1.02 patch.

The WORST thing about this is that this malfunction (or irritating sound instead of the music which overrides the car sound effects even) continues till I keep playing the game for no matter how many minutes. In order to get rid of this torn sound, I've to quit the game completely & start the game again.

Never faced such a damn issue in GT4 or GT5 EVER.

I know that the less grip after a pit stop bug has been talked about, but theres another pit stop bug, i dont know if its been discussed already or not, but everytime someone pits the rest of the guys on track get a lag spike, if its an endurance race then the chance is half the field will pit on the same lap making it impossible for the guys out on track to stay on track due to the compound effect.

Have had to suspend the league i run because of it.

Yes, I mentioned it above (post# 1205). But it's such a serious problem, I can't believe we seem to be the only two who have brought it up.
