Do the school and all your questions will be answered. Take a picture at the end of the race. And when you film the race make sure that you have the sound on. Also I would like to have the fast lap. Thank you for asking.Could I please ask @skeagracing for some clarification of schoolwork marking. This may be well known to others, in which case just point me to the discussion and I'll go read that.
I have just done my homework, great fun, but I don't really know what I am striving for.
My question regards the marking/scoring criteria. I know "Clean racing" is the foremost criteria. Personally, I wouldn't put in an entry where I collided with another car or the scenery. I haven't watched too many others videos but the ones I have seen also looked perfect. I have occasionally cut a bit of grass without losing control though - does this count against me?
Does the total time count for
A) nothing
B) foremost criteria after cleanliness
C) somewhere in the mix - if so where?
e.g. Could I have loads of goes making insane overtaking moves that nobody would ever try in real life - but for one magic lap they all work out fine and that's the one I film - Fastest time, but obvioulsy a lap showing 1 lucky nutter (not the 99 dead nutters)?
If I drove like I would in real life, it would be ultra safe - but I prob wouldn't even come first. I would also be ultra courteous to the AI drivers.
I saw a thread on here somewhere about gentlemanly racing - cant find it now, but it made a lot of sense. Are these the rules?
Is a certain amount of derring-do rewarded or penalised?
If an AI driver acts like a dick and rams me, does that count against me?
Would tappping the horn to warn other drivers you are there count for extra marks?
I am not expecting H-shift to be rewarded because others might not have it, but will it be offset against a slower time to make up for the extra control of clutch and box etc? - sometimes I heel and toe to set up a corner by block downshifting and preventing the rear drive wheels from locking up.
Are good racing lines rewarded?
Are drifts rewarded?
Are there any marks for stylistic interpretation? - sometimes If I am extremely chuffed with a race (well out in front) I will pull the handbrake to cross the line backwards - I'm assuming that would sent me straight into detention.... but I just don't know for sure!
Cheers
Thanks. I will send video along with some notes. By pure luck there are a few examples of what I was talking about, so I will point them out with timecodes.Do the school and all your questions will be answered. Yes, I do sit there with a scoresheet for each one. I even have one for "does it look like a real race on TV"!Thanks. I will send video along with some notes. By pure luck there are a few examples of what I was talking about, so I will point them out with timecodes.
I could be that you just watch them all and pick your favourite. Which would also be fine. I'm sure you don't sit there with a scoresheet for each one. The last thing I want to do is start squabbles on who deserved what points!!
Seriously? That is so cool!! - an excellent criteria BTW!Yes, I do sit there with a scoresheet for each one. I even have one for "does it look like a real race on TV"!

I did the #2 time quickly, but beating that took a while. Maybe because of racing brakes, should still be useful even if more work.
Porsche RUF 34002 Boxster: a National A: Gornergrat League: Matterhorn Riffelsee: Race 2.
Fast lap 1:21.688. TT 4:11.413. Pass for the win on lap 1 over the Lancia Delta S4. Winning margin 19.370.

At the SkeagRacingSchool we have a different show right @Thematic ??I'd be happy to do it - would be good to know how many will be sticking around though
So far, it's looking like "The Thematic and Slybynight" show!
