No-Tune Challenge ROUND 82 DONE! Thats the fastest I could
Do I see a future Div 1 player? Very nice time.

Here's the radical bit, we should all race eachother online and video the races as we do them. @skeagracing could then review everyones performance in the same race. I realise this would take a lot of organisation. Prob too much
That would be fantastic, but with gt6 not online it would be impossible and trying to get all of us on at the same time would be near impossible.
It would so good if we could race together, @RMan72 would need to sit at the start line for 10 seconds other wise he would be in front by himself the whole race.

Thanks @bjl23 . I've said it before and I'll say it again, you really keep this place in tip top shape! I knew your halftime report was coming and I wanted to be sure I was on it - so I knew where I stood. It got me out there in the freezing cold when I could quite easily have been doing something else. And as a result I really enjoyed myself. So thank you.

Yes, I agree. @FlowSadico should be fast-tracked to Div 1. ASAP. In fact, can we put him there now? Obviously, it is where he belongs and I have nothing but altruistic feelings towards the matter!!!

I know my online school idea is totally impractical, but I feel that "watching the mirrors" is something that is sorely lacking in our current school, and I just cant think of another way of doing it.

I wonder why you want @FlowSadico in Div 1? Maybe it's because he's in p1?

Joking aside, with the newcomers, perhaps we could come up with an ongoing points system for Divs. It would be good to divide the members equally between Div1 and Div2 (sometimes looks a bit lonely in Div 1). AND it would provide an incentive to compete where you might not otherwise - to avoid relegation (or fight for promotion). E.g. for me, I always do pretty well in the Div 2 TT no-tune events - it's my thing. The other no-tune events, I often "dont bother" - cos its not my thing.... but if a Div change was in the offing, I might make the extra effort......

Obvs the problem with this idea is how we account for the lesser-seen, but still very welcome, highly skilled Div1 members... How to keep them in their correct Div without encouraging tactical non-participation as that to which I would be inclined??....hmmmm ..... I would suggest weighting their Div1 membership to match their Div 1 performance. e.g. a lesser player could stay in div 1 by consistantly being in the top 50%, but the occasional Div1 unicums could retain their status by occasional postings way above the Div1 average?

Either way, I feel a bit sorry for @RMan72 , none of this would affect him! It's all academic as far as the Boogieman is concerned.

GT6 ONLINE BACK?? That's what you mean?

That's what I mean, but don't know how it'll work yet. GT5 works online now with a moded console and moded game.
Maybe I shouldn't have told anything about GT6 because it's nothing official yet about online but one big mod is definitely coming.

@slybynight why are you so happy, we have the hub and you can play gt5 online, how would gt6 online make it tjat much better? :P

I have tried many ways in the past to balance us so we could all race together but nothing has worked 100%, I do like what are thinking but not sure how it would work. Maybe something to do with averages?

I find it difficult to go back to GT5, despite the arcade mode having more features, though I never played it for several years. GT6 with online stuff was pretty buggy, so that diminishes its multiplayer value.

Well thanks, I accept it but i just want to remember that is only my second challenge here. Don´t haste.

Yes, I already knew it about the modded online in GT5. I hope they can do it in GT6 too

@FlowSadico you're damn fast from the beginning .
You're not far from div1 league but we will soon know about it .
Great ride mate

As for my Easter egg race and how i accomplish the mission .
I play this with more than 10 line ups.
Usually i was with 5-7 eggs on the basket at first 4-5 different grids.
So i put power at 50% before enter the race but again the front runners was out of reach .
So i quite that idea too and just start changing field and i was lucky on this one .
Perhaps @nostradavor2 time will get him close to a win but it's all about luck rather than driving skills.
My best time overall was this one ( and always at professional level that stays like this from the moment i discover it long time ago)
IMG_20210404_101352.jpg

That one was the slowest field that i find trying to ender with less power but finally the " machine " give me the proper AI without need to do anything .

Back to basics now and am loading to enter school.......

was a good race

but I feel like this after that one..

I could probably find some grid to kill the gap but I won't race this again

I don't have a spread sheet of the results, sorry.
OK, I have scraped the round results here from when I joined (if its worthwhile, I may well go back further).
Some interesting stats come out at the very early stages that support what I am trying to say!!!

In the last 18 rounds of no-tune.....

I think this confirms that Div 1 is a very lonely place.

I sadly miss @fordlaser . He is the third Div1 person in round 64. I am still in contact with him on PM, but I don't know if he will return.... we all know who the other 2 Div1 players are (@nostradavor2 , @RMan72 )!!! I love them both, and their performances deserve a division of their own. But as things stand, all the rest of us in Div2 squabble about with greater or lesser success and little reward or incentive. Which brings me on to my next statistic.....

No-tune victories in Div2 (since round 64)

The 2 active players in Div1 are always going to be there - they are a skill level above the rest of us. But @smoothbore12 has clearly put in the effort here!

I think I'm talking myself into a 3 Div solution, or even better, some sort of "average weighting" so we can all compete against each-other.

I suspect some of the new boys' upcoming results might add weight to these propositions.

Just to be clear, I am not interested in creating an underclass, or a group of superhumans, it would just be nice to introduce a competitive incentive to race more and improve through a reward system. To help further that goal, I would attempt to reward participation... but that needs a bit more thought and time alone with my newly-grabbed stats, and an analysis of the timings/results!!!!

... I'll keep working on it.

Love the effort mate, I see what you are saying.
Looking at the Div 2 victory table, it suggests that @smoothbore12 has earned the right to go to Div 1 but with all due respect to him, he would get smashed every round.

We have tried the adding weight idea before and it didn't work that well. Putting 200kg onto @RMan72 car , he is still a lot faster than most of us.

We tried adjusting PP in each of our cars but it was near impossible to get right.

I like the idea of reward for entering in challenges.

I would really love to come back to the Hub my friend but sadly I sold my G29, and now I have a Fanatec wheel and I can't use it on the PS3. I have my rig and Gran Turismo Sport in one room, and in my other room I have my PS3 setup with GT5 & GT6 but there is no room for another wheel, so I have to use a DS3 which I am not that good using it.
The room where I have my PS3 I have not got my Elgato game capture card setup, because that is in the other room and I got nothing to take pictures if I join the Hub again.
Perhaps I may end up putting the Elgato game capture card in where I got my PS3, and joining the hub again to do some events using a DS3 and losing my Div 1, because I am not that good on a DS3 as yet.
