SLK (w/ NOS) is still winning under control…

Here is my SLK w.i.p. tune mostly in accordance to the @ERAZER suggestions:

Hello everyone

As you guys know I'm trying to make the CHALLENGE HUB fun and fair,
But I have some concerns about a couple of tracks used in the NO-TUNE CHALLENGE which involves shortcuts.
(I'm not pointing the finger at anyone)


I've been thinking about making some changes to the rules, but I don't know which way to go about that will still keep it fun and fair.
Here are some of my ideas for changes.

• WE ONLY USE RACE 1, AS THIS TRACK CANT BE CUT - but doing the same track over and over will get very boring very fast
• WE DONT USE MOTEGI - as there are a ridiculous amount of shortcuts that can be done
• REPLAYS MUST BE POSTED - I think is May take the fun at of it and I know some people can't do them.
• TRAIL MOUNTAIN, WE ALLOW THE CUTTING OF THE LAST CORNER - if everyone is allowed to cut it then it's not a shortcut anymore

Again I'm not sure if any of these are answers maybe a combination of sum?
Please PM me any ideas you may have.
I wish to put the new rules in place at round 9 (a bit over a week)

Whatever the outcome will be I'm sure that all of you will not be 100% happy, but please don't let the new rules make you stop playing as they are here to help us keep it fair.

All of you guys are the reason why GT6 and the CHALLENGE HUB is still alive and me to, without the all of you guys I wouldn't be here
When you post replays of smoking tyres, fast times and just seeing how good you guys are at driving also the gifs @smoothbore12 posts that make me pee my pants to the tips @lfm58, @RMan72 and @fordlaser tell everyone even though you are all in competition together, the simple things like to see you guy's push each other to the limits and finally the slower guys, you know your not going to win but you still enter. All of these things and more make me happy to spend the time it takes to run this thread.

Posting videos of the race will resolve all of these issues. Then have someone in this form decide whether there was any dirty driving that in real life would’ve caused your car or the car that you hit to be terminated from the race. On occasion I see videos that I would disqualify the persons time who posted the video. Its like try to invent the short cut police or the to imitate a real world race situation and all this goes to far .

Maybe once in a while might be a special event based on replay that the cleanest driver take the credits for ,

I envy Noels vid with such a clean drive simulating real life races but we can' t be like him as he can't do it the other way.

Tutorial for Replays: You must have a USB/Flash drive. They are cheap and I would think that everyone should have one to back up your game. Save your replay to a USB drive basically the same steps you use to back up your game.. Next rename it with the track name or car name. The replay will be a mp4 file if recorded with your phone or camera and needs no conversion to up load to YouTube. You can get a YouTube account for free. www.youtube.com. YouTube will process the file so you can play it. Next all you have to do is right click in the video and COPY VIDEO URL. You can then share the link here by pasting the video link. The replay can be watched here. It is so easy, if you can take a picture you can post a video. You can use your phone, tablet or PC. Tablets and phones are just small PCs. If nothing else use your phone to record the race. From there go to your YouTube and upload directly from your phone.

Hello everyone, I've made my decision about the new rules (I've lost enough sleep over this). I had a lot of very good ideas but unfortunately all of them can't be implemented for some reason or another.

All 3 races plus the VGT TT’s will be staying.
There are only 4 more VGT after the next round that can't be tuned.

Race 1, Tsukuba - will remain as is as it can't be cut.

Race 2, Twin Ring Motegi East Course - will remain but the winner of this round has to sent me a replay of the winning time showing they didn't cut any of these corners.

It will be judged by me and me only, so PM me the replay. If the winner can not show me a replay then 2nd will win but again they will need to send me a replay.
SO EVERYONE SAVE YOUR BEST TIME REPLAYS.
(these replays will be our urine tests )
Please send me the replay before the rounds end so I can keep things moving.
For the people who can't do replays you have 2 choices
1 - learn how to do a replay.
2 - don't win.

Race 3, it's up to you if you want to cut the last corner in question, you do not have to send in a replay for this round, for those of you that still don't cut the corner I applaud you. The reason why you don't have to send a replay is this:
*If everyone does it then it's not a shortcut.
*it doesn't seem to be that big of a shortcut (look at @Vic Reign93 ‘s replay)
*Not everyone can do a replay, I don't want to limit the amount of events that those guys can enter, and yes it is simple but I myself don't have a PC so I do use my phone but it's very hard to film it for 5-7 minutes that's why I normally only film 1 lap and it takes me about an hour to upload 1 lap to youtube.
* I don't want to turn the CHALLENGE HUB into something that needs going over with a fine tooth comb.
* if we have to record everything it sucks all the fun at of it. (Remember it's only a game, a very good game)

The new rules will be added to post#1 in a spoiler.

I'm sure this doesn't make everyone happy but remember it is now more fair with the new rules then it was before so everyone should be happy about that.

Also remember entering the NO-TUNE CHALLENGES automatically enters you into the invitationals.

this is with me cutting the last corner, I did it to prove to me and you guys that the shortcut isn't that bad. I only gained 3 seconds over 4 laps, so if it was a big deal shortcutting that corner it should have rocketed me to the top!
You guys may get different results.

I love this part it gets the heart pumping.

I found a copy of GT3 A-Spec when I went out today and I got it for free!!

(never owning GTS. EVER)
Obviously inventory-wise, GT6 is the best, but I am in two minds as so say whether GT5 is better than GT6 since the shutdown only because we can still create tracks in it...

Technically the replay file isn't an MP4 file, it's just contains data in a way that GT5/6 can read and translate into a media (MP4) file

Though, I have never tried to upload to YT; I will try tomorrow if I am able to get my USB back from my friend as I copied all my replays and also my game data on there if my PS3 decided to kick the bucket.

Here is my experiment with chicane cut after 6 attemps.
I got 6:14 as @RMan72 but not "few ms close" as frequently happened… .
Anyway, I got bored even if this RUF has been a nice choice to be driven around Trial Mountain.👍
I'm going to move to the remainder challenges…

Congrats to @fordlaser with the SUPER STOCK win. It was a very close BATTLE with @Racin510s taking the PHOTON AWARD which came down to a lap time tie breaker set by the one and only @RMan72.

Good to see the front guys where not cutting the corner, I bet a few of us where surprised.

NO-TUNE CHALLENGE: This lap time I was using Automatic Transmission, because I can not use Manual Transmission.
I think the guy's using MT will be a bit faster than the guy's using AT, this is going to be interesting to see who is faster AT or MT.
