I'll try beating my time but what race / event can I try next?

You can try the battle cars ( info in the first page ) and that gives you the right to take part in the next race choosing your own car.

Its fun and interesting testing different cars in the same track and the winner car depends always on the other drivers .
Its not about whos fastest in time , but what car is fastest - better for everybody and from the score comes the winner car each time.

Cool. Are You referring to Battle 14 where I can try 6 cars on Apricot Hill? Do they have to be stock or can be customized (tyres, exhaust, suspension, ballast) & including Nitro as well?

No they dont have to be stock , its better to be tune so everybody can bring each car closer to his driving style and we try to make it fair for each car .
Usualy we dont use Nos in these races ( there is no need for that ) but if you did ,you mudt use it in every car so the outcome to be as fair as possible.

Yes its that race and the cars that you said.

The approach in the battle is to be fair to each car without benefit one against another ,thats why if you race your own choise doesnt take points .

Cool. Will try all of the cars. Any track is better than Tsukuba.

yesterday i try the Alfa but whith Mclaren inside i cant go more than second place.

The event is 2 different races with and without that BMW McLaren F1 Race Car, I find the Touring Cars & GT cars will struggle against it but the LM cars have a shot. Detuned LMPrototypes are good to go after him with also but a little on the cheesy side.

That McLaren F1 GTR set up Agent47 should be called OverKill cuz it's too darn fast for the event but I figure too fast ain't bad To Demo a set up :D

It's exactly like @smoothbore12 said, all I ask is for you to take every car to the max allowed PP and give every car a fair go.
Once you have posted all the cars I'll invite you to the PM where we choose the cars.
Points are awarded like this, 5-3-1.

Heres some back ground info on the challenge hub,

The idea for the BATTLES where based off an old group I was in when gt6 was online, called DUEL OF THE WEEK it was run by @MrWaflz55. Every week two cars would be picked and we would race them and vote for the best car.
I started the BATTLES where 2 people would picked 1 car each but it got hard to keep track of and some people left the challenge hub so I turned it into what is is now.

I got the NO-TUNE challenge idea from a race we did in the AI HUB which was a group that most of us were in, the AI HUB was run by @photonrider.
In that hub there was a one off race called GREASE MONKEY, we raced any car around polyphony digital cup race 3 and if my memory serves me right @RMan72 won that in the Lamborghini miura.
It was very fun racing stock cars as we all enjoyed it, so I thought let's do that but this time we do it with a certain car. And that's where the CAR OF THE WEEK group comes into play as this group chose a car every week and we raced it in TT and online, and wrote our thoughts on the car good or bad. This group was run by our very own @Nismonath5, the group stopped when gt6 went offline. So that's where I got the idea for a different car every round.

So even though the DUEL OF THE WEEK, CAR OF THE WEEK and the AI HUB have stopped they do live on though us.

I cam push her n hit a LOW 1:50.XXX but scrub off the rubber trying I run out of tire before the pit and that last lap in is touchy. Pacing myself I can hit 1:51.XXX most laps and got a sweet Race Time of 19:30.564. Often pushing too hard for a lap time will scrub off rubber you need for smooth laps the race time suffers.

Smidge away from a 45 second gap lol

I give it a go yesterday with your tune among 2 others .
The weird thing with your tune is that i dont see red tyres ,, i lower the initial acc. cause i spin everywhere , mostly over the red stripes and my fastest lap was on 52s.
Still cant get the flow of that car but i have to admit that your set up rides with no suprises when tyres are finished .
Didnt finished any race and all was 5 laps stint to see tyres wear and where i am close to the Mclaren.
Using other tune can be faster but only last 4 laps with RM tyres .
All be out of home the last 2 days for work and i will come back on Sunday for more.

Today if i have the time i ll try to close my account with the 507 and thats all .

@bjl23 just a thought .....the next car in no tune since the one car is ahead in vote must be pick from both div.winners one at the time.
First div1 the next time div2 winner and so on.
I think is fair enough and we dont need to vote for it.

There are a few ways we can it,

1 - what you said

2 - DIV 1 winner picks

3 - we go in alphabetical order

I will still do a vote

Ford laser your first lap must be a blinder 1:07,5? And the rest of them in the 1:06,1? My fastest pace was a constent 1:06,2 if lucky:tup:
That about right paddycars1 the first lap is so crucial, and the other laps must be in the low 1:06s. I still think running with less front brake and no rear brake is faster and also getting a little push from the AI helps as well.

Spin everywhere do you mean spin out the car or spin the tires? Might take some getting used to the set up using camber but its well worth it IMHO the car rips. If just spinning tires try TCS up to 3 and just tone it down after you get a feel for the characteristics.

This run here is done with TCS at Zero but ABS at one. It takes a bit of easing into the throttle out the slow corners but she holds it and has serious giddy up. Its NOT a throttle masher set up, I've never driven a car IRL with noteworthy HP thats a pedal masher. Got to have throttle control and grabbing a corner is much about hitting that perfect steering angle braking into the corner and perfect throttle input on exit. Steering fully cranked and pedal on the floor every corner ain't too realistic nah mean.

RainMasters is good for practicing throttle control, most feedback from sound here there is a sweet spot just under tires screetching with engine screaming, when you get it right the car pulls as hard as conditions allow.

Managing aggression is key to the car. When pushing it going for fastest lap times I hit low 1:50.XXX off the first lap but lap 5 gets sketchy. At an easier pace I push 1:51.XXX almost every lap and run a 45 second gap. Running 1:52.XXX will get you past the BMW McLaren, wont be as crazy gap but that dont really matter still around 20 seconds.

There is a rhythm you have to get into. If the rhythm is too fast you eat through tires, if too slow you make crappy lap times, trick is to find the middle ground rhythm and dance to it, unlike events with no tire wear and they just Balls to the Wall start to finish, got to pace yourself.

Have the top 5 fastest times for all of these 6 cars in this events been posted in this thread? Wanted to have a cross reference with my times & see if I'm ok or need to do better, all in the name of competition!

@K3Tuning first hope to be better from your illness, second ,yes i mean spin the car.
I dont " have " it the control via pad and the button i use for throtle .
I dont have time to play till Sunday ,so more will come in the future about this one.

@Uday9479 you dont have to be the fastest one in these battle races.
@paddycars1 run them full stock with just the upgrades to much the maximum pp for that.
I run them tuned , trying to see what i can get from each car etc.
Post your times and dont worry if you was fast or not, what matters there is what car can " serve " you better and perhaps faster than the others.
Many times i run faster one car but i liked more another one cause of his driving abilities or the joy that can offer to me by driving it.
Also fell free to say what tunes did you use and from whom , or write your impresions for each car if you like.
Its a free race that joy, experiment ,and adaptation to each car comes first and last how quick you can be.
Of course during this you might stuck with some cars and want to drive the wheels off ..... just do it and dont stress your sef if you are quick as others might be.
Hit it mate , spin that damn wheel and everything will be cool.

No tune update ( hope not the final one)
IMG_20181206_220849.jpg

The accound with the 507 start to get closer to an end .
Without the GTR in the field Pruitt shines and drove his car till stay with the rims only !!!!
With a bit faster first lap maybe can be on 49 high but maybe is a maybe .
Sunday i ll have the last words with her .

I have to consider I like my cars very lose, the rear downforce set low there is room to tighten her up. Might be good to slowly increase rear downforce until she's tight enough for your taste. Not too tight tho or she's gonna struggle on some corners understeering. The video shows throttle input so you can see there is a lot of corners I have to half throttle or roll on the throttle on exit.

For controller Im on sensitivity setting 7 (very important) and I use triggers for throttle n brakes..

Side note. Does everybody have AI Aggression set at 10 for those Arcade races?

Cool. I've just now posted times with Zonda & the Ferrari car. Zonda definitely felt more steady & well balanced compared to the Ferrari car. Once I finsh lapping around with the other 4 cars, will post screenshots of them together in 1 post to avoid giving trouble to You or any other member who wishes to access the times for making necessary updates.

Well, 3sec faster for 8:39 club but 8:35 seems very far… maybe I have to review my target around 8:37...
Anyway, here are some stats so far:
- lap-by-lap record: 01:45.979 01:43.550 01:43.088 01:42.923 01:43.898
- best lap: 1:42.923
- best 1st lap: 1:44.879
I'm using overpowered @praiano63 setup, rear downforce still 550

Ciao
