The Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge, Season 2! Thanks everyone!

My Camaro wasn't broken in yet. Are we allowed engine tuning? I was a good deal slower on the straight than the Z. But the Camaro is shaped like a brick.

If I can I do plan to be at AR I just need to test to see which I want to drive. Most likely the ol Mini but we will see.

Hehem, proven winners win.

The Nissan wasn't too bad at Daytona. The only problem was that I was whiteknuckled every time I broke into T1 just to keep the car from spinning. I'm hoping I can make the car quicker still. It wasn't broken in at Daytona. I wasn't using engine upgrades either. I'll try that to see if I can get a few more mph down the straights.

I used brake bias of 4/2 and the rear still wanted to come around. So I dropped it to 3/0 and that helped stabilize it going into T1 at Daytona.

I used 7/2 and that still wasn't enough.

The damper trick helps braking stability more than the BB imo. But I use that more often than not to make most cars turn more on the brakes.

What is this magic damper trick?

Simple really I just call it that as it makes a decent difference. You put front compression dampers higher than the rear to increase turning in on braking (More oversteer). Lower for more stabililty or less turning on braking. Same for the extension dampers but for on throttle oversteer/stability.

That's just how CTSCC cars are. The Aston tried to kill me a few time last season.

My damper settings are usually 7/5 6/4 or 6/5 6/3, lower braking force on the LSD side of things makes it more likely to turn around IMO. So running LSD values like 15/10/8 will give you more turn in on braking. But something like 15/10/15 does a little less of that.

I didn't know any of this. I used trial and error on the lap time to see what worked and what didn't.

I run the same setup on almost all the cars. Only FWD cars and ones that're front heavy do I use a different tune.

Yeah living in the past sucks but tbh 2013 has been overated so far :P.
