The Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge, Season 2! Thanks everyone!

 Paul was the class of the ST field today, he rocketed off after he went by the guy in the Civic.

By the way, I was a bit confused on the pace lap, I didn't know what to do.
Then when I came to the start/finish lane, there was a GS Subaru stopped, so I braked because I didn't know what was happening... I could've held the lead for some time if it weren't for those incidents at the start, because I lost the lead and 2nd place there.

Yea, I think we all did a "WTF" There... Nothing different we could've done really...

62 mph / 100 kmh speed and make sure everyone is caught up and stagered at the line, easy enough..

Anyway my car setup wasn't ideal I think I used the Laguna setup, which was way to understeery/stable for here. For the first few laps, my first laps of the night too, after the fumbled start I just sat behind looking for spots to pass. After which I set on time attack mode to get a 21 but unfortunately it never came. Partly down to the fact I didn't restore the car so it lost a bit of power during the race and a few little errors didn't help.

I did a 1:22.2 as my fastest lap in the end but know I had a 21 in me. Also I finally finished within time of the GS :D. (2:25 behind I think)

Also I never had to pit but did anyway on lap 19 to have another crack at the 1:21 lap.

Edit: The mandatory pit would be fine as it could add strategy of when to pit. Which I will explain now, One guy could be 5 seconds behind another and pit 5 laps earlier to possibly undercut him knowing he will have to defend later etc...

In that race the window would be 12-18 as the tyres last 15 odd laps without losing much lap time.

Guys, we're good to go on points!

If anyone has a issue with me transferring my GS points to ST, I can change it ;)

...But I'd like them to transfer :)

The problem is that I've never expected it, that's why I was a bit confused.. and that GS Subaru stopped as well at the start line made me a bit more confused than I was already.

Great battles today. Lhl and fuzza raced me very clean. I tried to return the favor the best I could. The 370 is a handful for me on a good day.

Glad one of us Canadians wasn't kidnapped before the race. :(

Two you forgot someone.. (Can't remember who)

I had a great race with long hair and cnd! Sorry about the start, I didn't know that it was a rolling start. Now I know for next race

So it was you who scared me by stopping?

I didn't either, but atleast you we're behind the GS pack, I was leading the ST cars, I was really scared of be doing something wrong.

Did some running, Subaru was 1:18.8 with 420hp. 1:18.3 with 425hp. Didn't try the Z.

I was 1.18.6 in the Subaru with a Daytona tune and gearing. That's 3/10s faster than my best time in the Z

Try California

i ran a 1:18 in quali. i think we could have been close to the front pack if we werent in such a great battle.

1st) Sorry to Yeratel84 on Lap 20. I completely didn't even see you come from behind into turn 1. Totally would have given room had I seen you. my bad.
2nd) I some how lost the tune for my transmission. I had one for all 6 gears but since I didn't have it, I had a 5 speed yesterday. Maybe could have kept up with Paul.

NEXT WEEK!!!

Some cars I see are better at certain places. Certain tracks favor cars over others. Seems like the Z is really good on the top end, but doesn't seem so great in twisty tight courses. The Camaro has a really good balance, but the M3 seems a little better. They both have a good top speed, but the Aston Martin and Z I think are a little faster topping out. Then again, I don't use engine stage tuning so that might be another reason. For about 16 laps my times were in the high 1:17's and low to mid 1:18s unless I hit traffic or had a little mishap. Pretty good feeling car, looking forward to next week.

You were using the Subaru? It'll be better at Indy. Just don't lose the draft or else you'll be left behind!

QC what was your fastest lap? I had no practise so in the first laps I was just getting my feet, after that I felt good even though the setup wasn't suited to the track.

Next track doesn't suit the Honda btw :indiff:.

Was fun though for the laps until you crashed on the last bend 👍.

I didn't expect for that spin. Was right in front of me.

Thats the Hondas handling. Being very pointy and oversteery when the rear touches the grass on it's own, being as loose as it is to start with, you end up with a nasty flick.
