Just run Peugeot vs. Audi, then?
Like my idea?
He is going to use road cars in GT though, not what I had in mind.

Decided to try the cars in the OP. Luckily, four of the cars in the top class I was easily able to convert my GT4 cars over to (one even already had the HP, required tires and no aero and only needed an additional 10 KG to comply). The only car I really need to do any setup tuning to would be the Subaru as the other four are pretty much already good handling cars.
The ST cars though was...interesting. Since I can't find a Mazda Axela, I didn't even bother. I do have some suggestions though for ST if this ever gets going again:
1. Would really love it if it was specified that the particular Mini Cooper in question was the 2011 Model. I just know someone is going to be confused and ask.
2. I think its about time the Golf V GTi got replaced with the Golf VI R. I know its not a GTi, but its the closest thing to the latest Model Golf thats being run.
Anyhow, thats all. Will do some setup and testing with those as well once I'm through with the other cars.
I don't know if you noticed, but all cars in ST class are FF. The Golf VI R is a 4WD...

RACECARPretty sure in real life there are cars that aren't just FF in ST.

Your right, but I used all FFs here for easier spec'ing.
Speaking of specs. I thought the specs were pretty even this year in GS. Certain cars worked better at certain tracks, but I was pretty happy with car specs all in all.
Yea, some cars need tweaked, but it was pretty good overall. Add a car or two to ST and we should be golden!
Slash Subaru from GS...add Challenger...
thread 1000 posts and replies btw
Yea, and add the MX-5 and BMW 135i to ST and we have ourselves season 3!
Since I've been doing testing on the car specs myself the past few days, I could assist if need be.

Out of curiosity, what have and haven't you tested and where have you been testing?
Been testing the cars on the front page of this thread, mostly at Daytona.
I'm guessing the BMW and 370Z are the cream of the crop. Subaru is probably slow. Camaro might have trouble on the oval part. Not sure about ST.
Times from my testing of GS:
Aston Martin V12 Vantage - 1'53.394
Chevy Camaro SS - 1'53.676
BMW M3 Coupe - 1'54.638
Nissan Fairlady Z (Z34) - 1'54.863
Subaru Sedan WRX STI - 1'56.508
So you pretty much are spot on with the Subaru. For a car with AWD, it understeers alot.

Edit: Times I got with ST:
Volkswagen Golf V GTi - 2'06.775
Ford Focus ST - 2'07.540
Honda Civic TYPE R - 2'08.038
Mini Cooper S '11 - 2'08.404
In terms of feel, I didn't really find a car that didn't handle well. Due to me not having the Mazda nor being able to find it, I decided to not test it.
Now I will admit that all these were done with aggressive setups and with Aids on so they might vary with them off.
I'm getting pretty curious as to why you were testing the cars...
Who?
/sarcasm
Wasn't he that guy who did that thing in that place?
Very well may have been...
Back on topic...how many ST will we have next year?
