Solution: Quit mandating wages that encourage employers to find people who can work for less.

Considering that their presence in the US is a crime, I think this should be higher.

Solution: Make legal citizenship easier, being from a terrorist country does not make them a terrorist so easier citizenship processes would help this too. Legalize drugs.

It is amazing how government lies and mistakes cost more to fix after the fact than it would have cost to actually meet a promise made 20 years ago.

Solution: Easier citizenship processes combined with not encouraging employers to seek cheap illegal employment would mean that they would come here legally with their families. Even if they came by themselves legally, it's their money so they can do what they want with it.

And being illegal they aren't in any database nor are there any records to help us track them down.

Although that number seems to be an awfully high percentage. Over what time period is that? The link didn't work for me. Also, what is the average number of crimes per individual? Are we dealing with a series of serial offenders or a wide spread issue in the community. If it is a small number of serial offenders then it is just a case of a few sick individuals and being illegal immigrants has nothing to do with it. If it is a widespread issue within the community then we have to wonder why.

Another thing that number or any illegal immigrant crime statistic leaves out is crimes committed within the illegal immigrant community against other illegal immigrants. Illegal or not simple rights still apply and these crimes may go unreported for fear that by going to the police they risk being deported.

So, even those who want to allow illegal immigrants to just come in and out as they please are doing them a disservice by putting them in situations where they feel they cannot get help.

How do people who don't have a job get a tax refund? How do some states give illegal immigrants driver's licenses?

Now for getting medical benefits it is against hhe law for a hospital ER to refuse to treat anyone that needs treatment. So they show up in the ER for anything that won't take care of itself and then leave without paying a dime. The government kind of helps cover these costs but not a lot.


See the thing is, in the 80s Congress passed a law and promised the American that the border shall be secured. At the time the bigger concern was the War on Drugs, which was laughable in itself, so it never happened. Now, drugs are just part of the issue and the same Congress, and even many of the same congressmen, are making the same promises, and it appears we are getting the same results.

But as it became obvious that millions of people were coming into America illegally the bleeding heart, sympathetic types began lobbying to allow them to draw things like welfare and Social Security. Somehow no one thought that with tens of millions more people drawing from these systems than put into them through taxes that it might put a strain on the system.

The point that we could find a way to give them money without questionining their citizenship and give them access to systems that used to require citizenship but we couldn't taxe them because they aren't citizens also has escaped people. So, we have managed to identify them enough to give them money but not enough to notice they aren't here legally (or they turn their heads), nor do we notice them enough to tax their income. Hell, just taxing their income would make them need to earn higher wages to a point that they wouldn't be taking nearly as many jobs from legal citizens.
