Not in general terms, no. There's decades of research into this, and the fact is that high-contrast (white/black, black/white) causes more fatigue when reading, and of course low-contrast is difficult to resolve. And we read with our centre vision, where the colour-perceiving cone cells are, and not where the light/dark-perceiving rod cells are.White on black or black on white is easier to read and causes less strain and eye fatigue.
Yeah, I just told you. It's - in general terms - far easier to read and causes far less fatigue.You and I both know the real reason you use that color.
And since this apparent segue is about banning "fancy" colours and there's literally zero reason to (every colour combination has a drawback for some people, there is no way to ensure one which has no drawbacks for everyone) - and it's never going to happen - I'm not sure why you're continuing to press the non-issue.
