The Dark Knight gets a sequel - The Dark Knight Rises!

Yeah I agree with all of that, except I think I like Batman Begins the most, as Batman is more the hunter than the hunted, unlike the vibe I get from the sequels, also, I didn't like Rachel Daws being replaced in TDK, but that's Katie Holmes' fault for signing to do some rubbish film instead at the time.

A nitpick I may have with the film is the agent not shooting Bane on the plane when he had the chance, but the film would've only been 10 mins long if that had happened, it's just that the agent just seemed to be doing the whole 'wasting time while achieving nothing' thing.

I only understood half of what bane said, but I don't think I missed anything important.
WaffleGarbleGooble!

Was good to see more of the bike doing it's trick with the wheels in DKR, I love that.

DKR is a bit messy, but I think I'd watch it again because there were enough good bits in it, including one good clean-cut beatdown scene in an alleyway getting towards the end, the film really needed that.
Yes that part boggled my mind the entire time it was happening. I was thinking the exact same thing. That part was very corny and wasnt written well at all.

OMG! Bane is so scary on the screen.

In one way he's better than Ledger Joker. Imagine that one situation where you stand in presence of Joker, he has a gun and well you probably know he's going to kill you. You may punch him in face, but he would probably laugh or do something equally manic, strange, funny maybe. But you won't crap in your pants, you won't be scarred.

Same situation other person. In presence of Bane you would definitely push out your stomach contents in your pants.

The way and what and how he speaks. I'm not going to take way Ledger oskar for Joker part be cause this is already a legend role. But in this one category Joker just sucks. And Bane is the main bad ass.

Non of the previous Batman villains were that good as Bane. Non of them scarred me so much. Joker is great is fantastic but he's not scary.

Bane is!

We talking about the same Joker that will slit your cheeks open for looking at him the wrong way? The same Joker that wants to torment your mind, not by threatening to kill or hurt you, but everything you know and love?

He wasn't able to scare an old man in Wayne's Charity party.

Old men have been standing up to big scary guys since the 40s.

Joker's scariness comes from his psychotic state. No matter what you say or do he might torture you, mutilate you, kill you, or just put you in a Saw scenario. You don't know. The unknown is very frightening.

Well then try to hit joker in he's face. You would do it! You might even a chance to beat him (if not grenades in he's coat ;) he wasn't a thug.

And Bane? Only advantage you would have over him is your speed while running from a room with this guy.

Joker never was able to defeat Batman, no one really had chance over so many years. So while series got boring something must be done to restore sells. And KingFall, KingQuest series were written and Bane was created along with other characters. Good thing for those who read that comics books many years ago is than i think we would be really disappointed to watch what really happen in those comics on screen. Story must be changed/adapted god forbid exactly how it happen in comics series. I really didn't want to see it all over again only in movie. I really like that three Batman movies, but never like any of those villains except Joker and now Bane who in my mind exceed any of my expectations.

It was obvious that Bane is not going to be as good as Joker was, and I'm positively surprised because he is as good. Only that role is not Oscar win like Joker was.

I have to disagree. 8 years later and Batman is still walking around his mansion, sulking over his loss from the Joker. Batman healed after the fight with Bane, but his mind still hasn't healed from his fight with the Joker, therfore, I think I would take that as a huge loss.

This.

Maggie really lowered the quality of the acting in TDK. Her "Harvey, I know these briefs backwards" and "Jim Gordon? He's a friend, actually - try to be nice" lines were terribly delivered. The one thing I thought she done well was when her and Joker met at Dent's fundraiser.

Have seen forums slagging off the Pod and the lack of realism with its big tyres making turns - it could bank slightly at speed but when it needed to turn, she could turn. 90 degree turn into the alley where the Bat is waiting - just throw her sideways, let the wheels rotate then hit the power when she's lined up with where you wanna go. Very cool.

And all of that was done for real. It probably had a lot of help from guide wires and the like, but Christopher Nolan refuses to use CGI until he absolutely has to.

This is what makes Nolan and this trilogy so awesome in my book. You get the sense that most of what happens in the movies is possible (almost anyway) in the real world, and that Batman along with the villains could be real, unlike many (if not most) of the other comic book superheroes.

I don't think I'll see it in theaters again, but I will be buying the Blu-Ray.
I'm hoping for a trilogy box set, as I don't have the first two on Blu-Ray yet. Even if I would though, I'd like to have a box set anyway, lol.

I think you can pick it up for around $10 now. Same with The Dark Knight.

I've been putting off getting Batman Begins on Blu-Ray for a while, may just wait for the trilogy set.

I went to see the film a couple of days ago. I loved most of it, except one or two things most people agree with. Some really good lines that will remain with me whenever I think of this movie, mostly because of the way they are delivered, rather than what is actually said. Bane's voice wasn't too much of a trouble to me because I saw the movie subtitled (spanish speaking country). Still, there were a couple of times when I stopped watching the subtitles to try and understand what he is saying. No problem there. I think the voice is part of what makes him such a good character in the film. It's just not what you expect when you look at him.

I would like to update what I said here.

Yesterday I found out that they re-released both of the first two movies on Blu-Ray in Best Buy exclusive Steel-book cases.

Will be purchasing both of them next week. :)

So I finally went to see the movie with my nuclear engineering friend. As soon as we walked out of the theater: "That was a good movie, but I don't know why they had to make it a neutron bomb."

Then he talked about the nuclear physics of it all while walking back to the parking lot. I said, "Well, good thing that prison had an orthopedic surgeon."

I said, "Well, good thing that prison had an orthopedic surgeon."
It's a bit of a deus ex machina, but it would have been easily avoided if the film had taken an extra minute or two to explain - namely, that the prison doctor had learned a lot about medicine from helping other inmates in the past. I think that was the intention, and that the back sling he made for Bruce Wayne was more the result of improvisation rather than plot contrivances.

Our first local IMAX theater is opening soon,is it that much of a difference,I will see it again either way?

Depends on the film and how it is shot. It is most effective in 3D films shot with IMAX cameras.

In many cases it is just a big screen.

Yes, I believe so. They used IMAX cameras in filming. They did not shoot any scenes with the intent of adding a rush to the IMAX screen (IMAX can fill enough of your view to "trick" your brain into thinking it is part of the action when done a certain way), but whether that is good or not is a matter of opinion. I personally feel that shots specifically designed to add effect to the theater experience hurts the longevity of the movie.

Avatar is a good example of this, being a huge spectacle in 3D theaters but being mediocre viewing at home. The newest A Christmas Carole did it as well, adding high speed flying scenes that felt like a rollercoaster in 3D IMAX that seem like pointless exposition at home.

Others feel that not having those kinds if truck shots is a waste as it won't make the $3 upcharge worth it.

Ultimately, IMAX vs 35mm 16x9 screens is kind of like HD vs widescreen SD in TVs: Not everyone feels the difference is worth it, some can't see it until it is viewed back to back, and others fall in love their first time.

One thing I love about proper IMAX is that if you are watching a wide-angle shot you need to move your head or eyes to follow the action/conversation. Think of like a tennis match filmed from the stands at center court. On TV and most cinema screens you can see both sides of play with minimal eye movement. On IMAX you would have to follow the ball as if you were there, turning your head slightly.
