The definitive car list for gt4

After carefully reviewing each and every reply on the car lists, I've compiled a large list of all the cars. I've also removed the impossibles due to licenses and reality (Ferraris, Porsches, McLarens, etc.) and kept only a few one-model makers. Also, I've included all or most of the brands (marques) available in GT1, 2, 3 and Concept, and included some new ones which should be included in GT4 since the licensing shouldn't be that hard to get (I guess) and because they're part of other companies which are in the game already (i.e. Seat is a company of Fiat, Lincoln is of Ford, Pontiac is of GM, etc.). I've also tried to keep a balance between race cars, vintage cars, supercars, compacts, etc. Lastly, there are several repeats (i.e. Mustang GT '83 and Mustang GT '02) in order to appreciate the legacy and greatness of certain cars. Feel free to contribute to this list... there are a total of 778 cars (more or less), and honestly, I'm sure many people are with me in the fact that it wouldn't matter if GT4 is 4 discs and costs $100, we'll still get it.

If even half of the stuff in that list (disregarding the stuff that hasn't already been in a GT game) makes it into GT4 I would be a very happy person.

Although I fear we will be inundated with more Lancers, Skylines and impreza's mostly (which doesn't bother me too much anyway).

I realize the fact that 28 BMWs probably wouldn't make it to the game just as I realize that 15+ Mustangs (in the list) probably won't make it either, but since it's a wish list, I guess anything counts, hence, I included my car as well (1983 Mustang GT).

The cars on the list respond to user's desires (read all the forums on wish lists), GT game background, and personal reasons (i.e. I'm a sucker for 'stangs)

Also, as Mista Y said, it is about 90% possible we'll be filled with Skylines, Lancers and Imprezas (which isn't bad at all), but it would also be very good of Polyphony/Sony to stop the Japanese hegemony on the game.

Anyhow, I just want GT4 to come out asap and to include even 50% of the list (as blacfish said), even then it would be on everyone's top-list again.

1. if we were able to have Bentley then we should defenitely have the new Continental GT.
2. why could we not be able to have BMW Motorsport Division cars? GTC gave us AMG prepared' Mercedes SL55. I want the new in '03 or '04 V10 powered M5.

I dont know you but i dont care if i dont get the version rs and gs of the SAME year Lancer nor a million skylines or subarus... I am TIRED of that stuff. its WAY cool, but it gets boring. u cant drive something in Gt if its not Japanese. yeah, it would be cool if polyphony ended the japanese egemony, but then, you would have to get american/european programmes for the game. otherwise its not gonna happen. xpect just a first disc as GT3 and the second one with 200 Japanese cars, three europeans, and two americans... and maybe the europeans and americans are too many.

Good point Cano. There are in fact European tuners, such as AMG. Actually, AMG is the only Euro tuner on GT, being in GT3 and GTC. The list also included Saleen and Roush, which are US tuners, although devoted solely to Mustangs, and SVT which is of Ford. But I take you point in the fact that there should really be more all-around tuners.

Now, I'm not really against the Japanese hegemony on GT series. It's true as I said before, that I wish there were more cars from the rest of the world, but if it weren't for GT, I would've never known about the Skyline, or the Lancer Evolution, or that Mazda kept on doing the RX7, since I've lived mainly in the US, and there you really don't get much of an idea of what's going on in the rest of the world. OK, some of these are also available in Europe, but they're what they call "Gray Imports" (at least in England), and there aren't many either.

awdturbodsm, can you either post a link on that eclipse you're talking about, or at least a picture, because I honestly haven't heard of it.

And lastly, pupik, the Ford GT70 is in fact a rarely known Ford rally car, created in 1970 . The GT70 was Ford's answer to the Lancia Stratos. Only 6 chassis were made, but during production the WRC rules changed and the GT70 became redundant. At last year's Goodwood Festival of Speed they had one.

Seat is owned by the VAG group. Which btw. also own the Lamborghini name.. And Bentley btw...

as for Seat, oh, it would be AWESOME to have the seat leon cupra R in the game, Seat came to mexico about two or three years ago, and they now have almost all their lineup here. they have very cool cars and some very potent ones too! id love to drive a leon cupra turbo or a toledo turbo around. even their minivan, the alhambra, is way sporty!! six speed gear and 230 hp!!!

What's wrong with a 6-cyl Mustang? Just kidding, I own a 1981 6-cyl Mustang, and I understand 100% what you're saying. Maybe it has to do with living in an underdeveloped country... I currently live in Venezuela, and the fastest we get here is a tuned Chevrolet (Opel) Corsa. Plus, all the taxi drivers have either Sentras, or Cielos (Daewoo) or some other crap car, and they drive it as if it were a Ferrari, specially when you're doing about 100-120 kph on the highway and they pass you at 160+...

But anyway, yeah, I really wish they would add other European cars to the list. And not only make them downloadable, since in underdeveloped countries such as ours and in some European contries as well, Internet service is either absurdly expensive or very hard to find... so I'm not too excited about the promise that GT4 will have downloadable cars... IMO that will only make for the addition of monster-like hybrids that will totally blow you away... same as happens when you're playing Quake or some other on-lie on line game: Some hacker or kid (is there a difference?) goes into the game configs and you're forced to battle a guy who has a nuke for a weapon and all you have is a toothpick...

Seat is of VW-Audi? Hmmm... are you sure Fiat doesn't even have a small percentage in it? Thing is, most of the Fiat dealers in my country changed to Seat and still sell the same cars (Seats and Fiats)... plus, I believe at some point in history, Fiat did own Seat.

Make sure to include a 95 ACURA Integra GSR. GT2 had this car availiable and in GT3 we only have the black and yellow type R version colors to choose from.

Basically, I want to drive a red US model of the Integra, and since the type Rs are only white, black, and yellow, please introduce the Integra GSRs in GT4. And for some reason, the white US version integra type R was not availiable for GT3, only black and yellow.
