try this website:

http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri

You need Java to actually see if its compatible though

So I tried that and while my laptop surprisingly actually meets and exceeds the requirements, it appears the OS is the only thing that's stopping it from running (which appears to be Windows 8 (Build 9200) 64-bit. Kinda odd how that works.

Also, thanks for showing me that, it'll help quite abit whenever I see a PC game I'm interesting in 👍

The funny thing is, I have Windows 8 64-bit as well, and I have zero problems at all (which isn't caused by my GPU), so I find it kind of strange that the OS should be the culprit, to be honest. :odd:

It reads like this:

Unfortunately your operating system was not available when this product was released, so it is not OFFICIALLY supported. Please review the publisher's website for more information

I'm on Windows 8 64 bit too, I had no idea it wasn't officially supported. No problems for me other than having a low spec PC.

I'm just not a fan on windows 8 in general but I would imagine without looking up the official stats that Windows 8 uses more ram than that of 7.

A lot of people not liking Windows 8 but, I actually really like 8.1. Then again, I was one of the few people that actually like Vista as well.

Looks like ETS2 is going to go into hibernation a bit. FIFA 15 pretty much takes the attention span for the next few months. :(

Another truck mod, a MAN TGS Euro 5 by GTMike. It's very good, lots of chassis and cabin variants and all wheel drive, handy for getting out of the quarries:

@spinner Plenty of good sound mods for the DAF and 50K version 👍

I found one that I liked but it didn't work. Not to worry , it was a nice looking truck but I still prefer GTMs :)

So , the update is out. Achievements are enabled (meh) and key assignments are now available for scrolling through favorite radio stations and volume control (YES! ) This is awesome , I've been dying for scs to add this feature 👍

Also here's a pic of a dirty old man :D

I've seen those skins around, you need to drive on the offroad tracks in Belarus now with that skin

All my mods are working with the new update it seems. But for 1.14 SCS have said there will be bigger changes, which will most likely break some mods.

Here's a strange bug in Poland Rebuilding:

So I found this post yesterday:

Sounds like it isn't picking up your resolution, try this:
C:\Users\<RACECAR>\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2
Open Config.cfg in Notepad or Notepad++ or anything similar

This line:
uset r_mode "1920x1080x32x0"

Change it to what ever your native resolution is on your laptop. I'd leave the last two numbers as is.

I opened the folder, but decided not to mess with anything as it seemed the numbers were indeed the same. I booted it up and holy crap, it works :D

Now I just need to connect mah wheel and then it'll be a proper drive.

Yeah from what I have heard , 1.14 will come at the time of the release of the Scandinavia DLC. Promods will be patched to work with it but you will need the DLC to use the next version of Promods !

Definitely getting the DLC if Promods is going to work with it. Perhaps there will be new places added in the next Promods version.

Well, they've been working on the south eastern portion of France. And according to their forums, they've been working on Spain and Italy some so, I guess those areas would then become priority. I sure hope so because, I would love to drive around Bologna or San Marino like in really life.

German Paint DLC released. Come on, give us some Scandinavian Paint!
Yes! Swedish paint for my Scanias.

That's pretty good then, I love France in Promods so far, except for the tolls.

I would like to go further north in Scandinavia though, perhaps the DLC will do that.

I haven't been doing many jobs lately. The addition of achievements and my obsessive nature have me bouncing all over the map buying garages and working towards 100% discovery ! I aim to achieve this with Promods , Poland rebuilding and the Russia map (Yes I should disable the addon maps and make this a whole lot easier but who doesn't love a challenge :dopey: )Currently at 97.3%. This could take a while though , most of the missing pieces of the puzzle are tiny sections of road strewn all over the place haha :scared:

Just got a small 11Mb update, anybody knows why?

Anyways, started a new profile with the Volvo Globetrotter VNL 780 and I absolutely love it. 750hp with a 14 speed gearbox and LOADS of torque, just a dream to drive it and it looks just stunning. Phenomenal mod, if anybody is interested, you can download it right here
