Has any game attempted flags in the past? I'd wager a few F1 games have and maybe one or two of the PC sims, but never played any games that have had flags like this...
V8 Supercars 3/TOCA Race Driver 3 had flags and were implemented extremely well too I might add. It had yellows for crashed/slow cars, blues for when faster cars were trying to lap you, blacks for penalties (Black/White for warnings), whites for last laps and I'm not sure if there were others, but either way they were obvious and worked when they should have.👍
Just a slight note - red/yellow striped flag literally means "slippery surface", it doesn't have to be oil. There's also a difference between a held yellow, a waved yellow and double waved yellows.
But I guess it says all that in wikipedia anyway.
I've seen the red/yellow flags used for general debris after crashes and what have you.
