Hopefully :P

Its all these little things, they give you a better and more realistic experience.

Has any game attempted flags in the past? I'd wager a few F1 games have and maybe one or two of the PC sims, but never played any games that have had flags like this...

V8 Supercars 3/TOCA Race Driver 3 had flags and were implemented extremely well too I might add. It had yellows for crashed/slow cars, blues for when faster cars were trying to lap you, blacks for penalties (Black/White for warnings), whites for last laps and I'm not sure if there were others, but either way they were obvious and worked when they should have.👍

Just a slight note - red/yellow striped flag literally means "slippery surface", it doesn't have to be oil. There's also a difference between a held yellow, a waved yellow and double waved yellows.
But I guess it says all that in wikipedia anyway.

I've seen the red/yellow flags used for general debris after crashes and what have you.

Black flag and the AI taking over the car for all online cheaters and assholes.

I wonder how hard it would be for them to implement that? Like the AI taking over anyone who has a black flag when they near the pits to force the drive-through penalty? Probably easier to do what they do in real life though, DQ the driver if they have any un-paid drive-throughs.;)

I actually can re-create the yellow flags whenever I want, as for the green flag is a bit harder, but it does happen once and a while.

Totally awesome news! That means KY didn't lie when he said he tried to implement as many of the NASCAR rules as possible! I mean, the flags is probably the biggest factor in NASCAR, isn't it?

Kick ass, all they need now is a safety car and there is a safety car you can buy in the game so it's not impossible a future update could include a safety car on track :)
