 I hate these programmes with a passion, they are such a massive swindle - but that was great!

That was hilarious!

We have those shows here too, and I'm not sure if people are really that stupid or how it goes, but the hosts of the shows go berserk anytime someone answers wrong.

Dang. That sucks.

Yeah for the dumbass kid with the phone.

I have had this happen so many times in my college classes its out of control.
I think that what he did was perfectly fine.

Turn your phone to vibrate or off.
If you have to use your phone, step outside.

Exactly. It's SO rude to even use your phone while others are giving you their time. I wish high school teachers were allowed to do this.

Lol! what a punk! If I was his friend, instead of scaring him, I would have slapped him in the face and tell him to start acting like a man.

Finocchio

Ciao!

LMAO. Spoken like an Italian. 👍

I'm surprised he didn't get beat up by the student...I would have.

Ciao!
Would it be worth an assault case just because he threw down your phone (which probably still worked)?

That was just gutsy though. Actually staying on the phone while the teacher was talking, a lot more than what I've seen.

Yep. His right to punch the teacher in the face ends at the teacher's nose. Plus, you've basically signed yourself over to the school's total authority by attending class. If his phone was prohibited during class, the use of it basically gives the phone to the school. The school smashed that phone on the floor and, thus, people reached into their pockets and likely turned OFF their own phones.

I thought this was awesome:

*Teacher destorys someone else's property*

So the phone call justified the teacher destroying the student's property?? Not seeing it. The student needed to be ejected from the classroom (and possibly told not to come back).

Omnis

...still not seeing it. I doubt he signed a waiver to his property.

Arguably they are both in the wrong - the teacher has very right to confiscate the phone, or order the guy on the phone from the room for the remainder of the class, but I seriously doubt that he had the right to destroy the phone... you wouldn't believe it, but some people - even full academics at international conferences - not only do not switch their phones off (despite being specifically asked to do so before the talks begin) but I've even seen someone answer and speak in the middle of a conference presentation. It's inexcusably rude, and I would love to have seen someone take his phone off him...

Eh, I just made up a hypothetical. Who knows. Maybe the papers the kid signed actually did sign away his unauthorized property. Maybe the phone isn't broken.

Seriously, I don't remember Michael punching himself in the face with his shoulder like he was freaking retarded in Thriller. And I thought all those extras were supposed to look like zombies. Ahh, I guess Bollywood makes the Indians happy. All 1.2 billion of them.

I don't see any difference between the Bollywood and the original version of "Thriller".

I knew both Jeopardy questions that she couldn't answer. Hell, I've got both songs on my HDD.
