I don't think it's an east vs. west thing, it's more of a companies that just happen to be in the western hemisphere focus more on making a good game than making money off said game.

I also don't think we will see another GT on the PS3(After GT5).

I would imagine PD will listen to feedback from GT5, tweak a few bits, add cars, add tracks and release a GT6 around 2012. Then after that they will prob get going on developing GT7 for the PS4. I would imagine Sony would be keen to have it as a PS4 release title or very soon after.

I agree that their won't be another game until ps4 hits. Hopefully with the content in this game it won't matter.

The problem is that 2012 is about the time the next round of consoles will hit shelves.

It will be more like 2015, theres no need for any new consoles yet, the PS3 and 360 still have ages left till they reach their limit in graphics and power.

2015 is six years away and developers and consumers are always asking for more. 2012 is a realistic option for a new console and not that unfeasable.

Who said the current generation has to be utterly outdated before the next one comes? When ps3 came out ps2 had still much fun in it, but hey, it still does.

The problem with the PS3 is, it has proved difficult for developers to make games compatible with the cell processor. That's the reason why Call Of Juarez BIB & some others look worse on the PS3.So Sony PS4 could soon be on the way. Also Sony apparently want to use a cpu etc from a less known company, might be good might be terrible.

I thought that too but I'm sure I read somewhere that there would be a second GT released on the ps3 probably a game based on an updated GT5 although whether it'd be called GT6 I don't know. I don't know if it's true but if the PS3's going to be around for another few years then it'd make sense for PD to do that.

The proper word here is "port."

Games on the 360, even if development is supposedly easier, take just as long, don't come out any sooner, and don't look much better at all than games on the PS3.

And this is with one year's worth more experience making games for the 360.

I've seen these supposedly "better" games. I don't buy these arguments.
