Actually I think Rei is closer to being his Mom if I'm not mistaken... I could have sworn she was created from DNA of his mother because his father is a crazy scientist who ignored her during life and obsessed on her in death.

My predictions for the fourth Rebuild film are that

Spoiler: Knowing Hideaki Anno, this will definitely not happen

Yui and Rei will reappear in the entry plug of Eva Unit 01, leading to some sort of story where the most dangerous individual on the planet and her half-clone (which biologically is kind of like a daughter...) set out to destroy NERV and WILLE with their own organisation, called VENERISCH for some reason. Meanwhile bad stuff happens to Shinji (now aged 25) for the sake of Asuka's (now aged 38) amusement.

It's both. And it's not just the shows you love, as stated before, 99 percent of all the stuff is laughable.

One man's trash is another's treasure, I say to that. I know the shows I watch others won't (like Lucky Star, Azumanga Daioh, Initial D, A Channel, etc.), but I honestly couldn't care less about what others think.

I liked the first one. Seemed a little compacted, but I liked it. I have the second one, but haven't watched it yet. I haven't seen the third one yet.

Dammit. There needs to be a Part 2, but the animation quality needs to stay consistent. Kind of an unrealistic dream considering that everything looks so nice.
