Eclipse Advan GR Supra GT300 FE.

No, it's not a replica, it's a modern day take. Changed to fit the times and lines.
And it's not sport mode compatible either . (Don't worry, I'll have that up in a couple of days ;)👍).

I had already moved on to plan B after seeing @CorvairGuy69's Advan Supra. although not that far on. I was going for the 2006 version, in white . But as the challenge was laid down, I decided why not :D.

To bring this up to date I decided to use some special colours, something I'm not particularly known for. I thought about using metallic paints for the red on the body (Originally 0/100/91 to match the Advan decal I have in storage.), and the silver on the bonnet (hood :P), and using the vinyls to make the black parts. A little more time consuming than my first Advan Supra livery, that's for sure .
In the end I settled on R1 Chrome on the body with K1 Liquid Metallic up front. Mostly I stuck with the same decal placements but tweaked them a little to fit the newer body shape. And the wheels have been updated to a more up to date ENKEI centrelocks.

As there's still a little time left. If I missed any particular mandatory decals, I'm not really up on them :embarrassed:, I don't need them often enough. But feel free to point them out 👍. I'd like to get it right :).

Probably best known these days for running American cars, Larbre Competition has had success in the past with some German offerings. This particular livery paying tribute to the #52 Porsche 911 that got them the class victory at Le Mans 25 years ago, updated with decals and sponsors from their art car Corvette that was ran in 2017.

I like the modern take with chrome paints.

About the decals, to me the Gr.3 Supra is listed as a GT300 class, so it needs the yellow number panel (white is for GT500/Gr.2 class).

Also, try to look a the video tutorials in the first post to take your main photos, they will showcase your livery even better (the rain shot is already awesome, though!)

Welcome in our competition!

Thank you for the compliments and the feedback :).

I know its a Gr.3 and technically would class in GT300 if it actually raced in this form. However I thought as [this] shows, the GR Supra is scheduled to be Toyota's entrant in the 2020 season as a GT500 :D. I thought, given the fantasy aspect of the theme, it wouldn't be a big deal. But, I'll change it. It would match better for user in-game :)👍.

As for the pictures, I don't know what happened :banghead: . I did some test shots the other day in the locations I don't normally use. They turned out fine. I think my head was up my 🤬 when I took these two :dopey:. I'll reshoot when I get back from work 👍.

Thanks again

Sonax Mercedes Benz AMG Throwback Gr.3

Link to livery: https://www.gran-turismo.com/gb/gts...lery/all/livery/1309219/1/4612332539949909025

This is my rather rushed effort at a modern take on the famous Sonax Mercedes liveries of the past. There's a ton of 'replica' versions of the silver and black design on GT Sport so I thought for the competition going original was best. Sadly the Shiretoko shots don't really do the aluminium upper half justice so please check out the other shots or in the in-game preview.

With a new colour scheme and a few additional details, I'm relatively happy with how it turned out. I had a Diebels Alt AMG, a BMW art car and a Pennzoil GTR on the go too for this competition but went with this one in the end.

Hope you enjoy

FINAL ENTRY
PlayStation Labre RSR #94

Following my recent fascination with the PlayStation-liveried #48 911 GT1, and with the 25th anniversary of the console's Japanese launch looming near, an attempted recreation of the ex-Labre Competition machine seemed like a no-brainer to me.

The idea is that for the 2019-2020 WEC season, Labre have jumped ship from LMP2 back into GTE Am with a single customer 911 RSR, securing a new sponsorship deal with Sony in the process. To commemorate the anniversary, they decide to run the car in a version of the classic PlayStation livery, mimicking the heritage schemes run by the factory GTE Pro Porsche team in previous seasons.

Though mainly based on the GT1 version, I decided to make a few alterations to modernise the scheme, adapt it to the RSR's design and include throwbacks to the sister #60 GT2 livery; examples include GTE Am numberplates, extra Aprimatic decals on the rear wheel arches and an early Gran Turismo logo with an all-blue 'G' on the rear wing. The original number '48' is swapped for '94', referencing the Japanese launch date for the PlayStation - 3rd December 1994. Although this might appear relatively simple compared to other entries in this round, it was still a challenge to find the right decals and to get the white outlines on the PlayStation bonnet logo done well. Special thanks to @PrinsvOranje and @MMX for their help in making the ATP and SP Air decals for me when I had trouble finding them.

UPDATE: Link added to main livery post.

Updated to meet GT300 criteria :). Also added the new link in the following post.

@Cytoria, What a difference that made :D:tup: they look way better. Although I fully agree with @KK78 about the way the Aluminium looks a bit flat. Thank the maker for bonus shots 👍.
Lovely Mercedes BTW :).

It's now time to start preparing myself for the headache of choosing three of these machines. Going to be a toughie :scared:  :banghead:.
Good luck everyone

FINAL ENTRY
Roock Racing Porsche 911 RSR

So I've been lurking for a while, and I was finally inspired to throw my hat in the ring. I found the Navision Software sponsored Porsche while I was browsing, and given that I work with Navision (or rather, it's descendant Dynamics NAV 2009) IRL, it seemed appropriate to use it.

My idea is as follows: Roock Racing has secured a sponsorship from Microsoft to return to endurance racing after nearly two decades away, and given that Microsoft now owns Navision Software, they've decided to livery the car in a throwback to the late 90's colors, updated with the current Dynamics 365 product.

EDIT: updated my entry with GALLERY tags instead of IMG.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but to meet GT300 regs' it must have yellow headlamps!
Dont worry about it :).
I'm just coming back to fix them right now 👍 I knew something was still wrong . I'll be done in a few moments

Thanks for the heads up though buddy :D:tup:

Nismo WEC II - revenge of the GTR LeMon

Firstly I feel I'm not getting off to a great start by using the same theme as Nuschelle01's fab liveries, I'm so sorry mate if this is a major breach of protocol for the LEC :embarrassed:. I had gone too far with this before I realised to start something new, apologies again.

I love the silhouette cars, and this livery in particular I also love the look of the GTR LM and the audacity of the FWD design. That it failed so ignominiously only makes me love it more in a weird way.

So on seeing that this livery is one that NISMO chose to highlight on their Motorsport history page, that I've wanted to make it on a chrome base for ages, and that all my other throwback liveries were small privateers, the extra incentive of a stimulating theme (i.e. make it as if it was really going to race IRL) steered me to this reverie:

In 2015 NISMO President Shoichi Miyatani had stated in an official release: “When you innovate you don't give up at the first hurdle. We are committed to overcoming this challenge.” - After 4 years the loss of face still stung for Miyatani-san. He WOULD restore the honour of his family, his company, nay THE WHOLE JAPANESE MOTORSPORT INDUSTRY ITSELF by ignoring the fact that Toyota had actually done quite well recently, sticking to his bosozuko 'I'll go my own way' guns, reviving the GTR LM and running an all Japanese female drive team to boot! Kiko Ihara was signed up, quickly followed by... the realisation that she was the only WEC qualified Japanese female driver. But that's OK, because of multi-tasking or something. We're in hurdle-jumping mode here, the team was looking strong, and Shoichi had heard of an unheard-of driver who was like Robert Redford in The Natural if it was set in the world of GT Sport, so he signed up YOU, yes YOU!!! (i.e. the driver name is 'on')

But what livery to trumpet such a glorious and bold return? It could only be that sported by the brutally styled Bluebird Silhouette: Coke light! The drink only drunk by women and slightly vain tree-hugging Hollywood heart-throbs :mischievous:

The End.

On the early days of the livery editor, I made a lot of classic replicas/adaptations on the current cars (mostly NSXs, but also a various selection of famous Gran Turismo liveries). When I saw this theme, I thought about creating a D2 AMG GT3 (to go along my C9), but D2 now became Vodafone, so the paint scheme wouldn't have been so transposable. And sincerely, I knew I HAD to do this one. I've started this livery almost two years ago, but was stuck when I saw how heavy the decal work will be, and that I couldn't get something great for the engine. Two years on, and this is it!

It's not a real replica, as Mercedes used it for various cars throught the years, and the latest installement was in 2014. My inspiration came from the two most famous cars of this kind : the '00 CLK DTM, and the '98 CLK GTR. The liveries usually depicted the engine of the road going version of the race car, but inside the AMG GT3, Mercedes uses the same NA engine as in the SLS (and SLS GT3), not the current turbocharged V8 of the AMG GT. The engine bay was too different with the big hole on the nose, so I've used the SLS engine. The engine alone take 22 decals (11 different colours, splitted in 1, 2 or 3 parts depending of the complexity of the layer).

For the body, I've also reproduced the Original-Teile box pattern, and had to use 6 different box pictures to have enough details and positions of the whole paving to rebuild it. I've even added the box sticker with the product reference, in that case an "Original-Teile AMG GT3 Rennwagen". The base paint is W1 Aluminium, and the paving decals are transparent to keep the metallic effect.

The rest of the stickers are made for the 2020 Rolex 24 hours of Daytona, using the #33 Riley Motorsport AMG GT3, which is the closest to a factory team in this championship. Even if it's not the 50th IMSA anniversary anymore, I still placed these decals to add to the "throwback effect". The drivers names are the same as the previous year : Ben Keating and Jeroen Bleekemolen for the full season, joined by Felipe Fraga and Luca Stolz for the endurance races.

Althought I like the idea of the wet race images and have to credit @sebmugi for the inspiration, the livery definition is not at sharp as in scapes mode. I'll add later a mini-gallery for the details of the livery which can't be seen in the standard images.

I won’t be able to launch the poll before Friday evening so feel free to update your liveries/pictures.

And if someone want to use the delay to post an entry, I’m fine too.

@SouperK great job! Achieving the mask of such thin and precise lines, on a Gr.1 car, well done!
