Doesn't CFW spoof PSN so that you can connect without being detected? I've not used it before...

They have an app you can download that does this yes. While it greatly reduces the chance of it happening, it is still a possibility.

My advice to you is if you plan to get CFW or HFW for the PS3, get everything you want from PSN that is for the PS3 before you install CFW or HFW.

While I haven't had mine on PSN other then to briefly verify my system for PSN games since I did things backwards. I can tell you based on my reading the conscientious is that a ban isnt a matter of "if" but "when" it happens to you if you connect to PSN.

Pretty much what I have read as well. From what I gather, it seems the more times you get on, the more likely it will happen.

Thought you guys might like to try one of my favorite GE builds of the premium Nissan SKYLINE GT-R V-spec II Nür (R34) '02. It's not to crazy over the top insane, but strong enough with a bit over 1,220 HP. Capable of Sub 1 minute Top Gear runs and 5.xx minutes at Nordschleife it's also set up to be easy and a pleasure to drive. In GE simply change the hex codes to what is shown in the photos and adjust the tune sheet setup as also shown...

• you get gold on all the license tests and special events?
• your B-Spec driver is on maximum class and experience?
• your A-Spec and B-Spec level is 40?
• and you have 1000 cars?

Yeah you you can do that in the GT5 Garage editor v1.3.1.

I can't properly install Garage Editor cause my pc wants to download ".NET Framework 2.5/3.0" and the download won't finish and ends up by an error code "0x80080005". Anyone got a clue about this ? I'm stuck at this point from now

i don't know if it's because i've passed it through GE twice, or because i changed my a-spec level.

i gave myself a ton of stuff (79 tickets, all licenses and special events, but i didn't do nothing more than that), so i'm just unsure if i'm just doing something wrong or it's just me changing the a-spec level.

i gave myself the XXXXXXX car, if that is the reason why it's breaking, i don't even know it was a misclick, and since it adds it straight to your garage i couldn't remove it in GE.

any help is greatly appreciated, i have GE 1.3.1 and GT5 2.7, if that is any help, many thanks.

I always insure to close the garage before removing my thumb drive (keep a backup also). The XXXXXXX Car does cause some problems. I do limit the amount of items I load as it seems to mess up if I do too much at a time sometimes. Hope this helps.

I run my GE from a separate thumb drive in a different USB Port to avoid conflicts with my PC. If that's any help at all.

It maybe one of the XXXXXXX cars that are causing your problem with GE, try using a fresh save without the XXXXXX cars and see. I do not go anywhere near them XXXXXXX cars.

or you can actually enjoy the game and try to get that by playing it

i don't mean it as a negative comment, just it's still a good game and doing most of the stuff you mentioned is fun and feels rewarding.

Yes they do cause a problem with the save file if you select a car with Garage editor 👍.

Alternatively, you could just insert the ticket to the XXXXXXX if you really want the car. You shouldn't have any issues then.

GT5 2.7

By 2.7, do you mean 2.07? The XXXXXXX was added at 2.09 and it was removed in 2.12 and if you're on an update below 2.09 or on 2.12 and beyond, it won't work. I recommend updating to 2.11 because that's what the garage editor was primarily made for and the XXXXXXX has always worked fine for me on that update. If you're on an earlier update, then that's probably the issue.

Does anybody have a link to a tutorial of how to use the HEX system? Up until now I've only used it to get the Formula Granturismos but I'm a little tired of beating the computer over and over...

I see you have only been a member on GTP for several days and this was your first post. As I've said many many many times over and over and over again use GT version 2.11, GE version 1.3.1, and follow my easy instructions to the letter. It will then work fine with absolutely no problems what so ever which many will attest to. Any of my hybrid cars and any DLC replacements are a slam dunk while also not requiring any rocket science or any other special programs, jailbreaks, or the like. Further, you did not follow my instructions on my hybrid you mentioned stating you went for the Nismo 400R when my instructions clearly are for the premium Spec II Nur which is a completely different car. And finally do your research first before making unfounded claims...nuff said have a nice day.

No,no...I think you're misunderstanding me...yes I just made an account the other day, but I've been using the editor for a while. I've had no problems with it at all, and I've also followed the instructions on GTP to make hybrid's in the past from this post ->

...which, now that I look at it, coincidentally was also made by you. I am in no way claiming it doesn't work, rather, I know that I don't know much about the editor and how it works. From you reply I can tell that I made the mistake of using a different car. So thanks for that but I didn't mean to offend you in any way. The easiest way is to Delete the updates and re-downloaded them again, it does not take long to get to 2.11 my friend.

GT5 2.11 is what I recommend being on if you expect to use the editor. It wasn’t designed for GT5 1.00.

Well I know I am a little late, but their is a better way to do it if you have jailbreak. I can't say too much due to the AUP, but if you delete a folder in the game data using a file browser for the PS3 (which I cannot talk about) and the param.sfo in the same place, you can actually revert to a previous update without losing everything. From there you can either download and install the updates or if you have the update PKG's already, you can install them by hand, which takes way less time.

Though I imagine you don't have CFW, this is something to think about if you do decide to get it and I felt it was worth noting. It's useful if you don't want to lose everything in your game data, but want to be on 2.11. Lord knows it helped me.

I'm curious, but what problems have you had with it? It's always worked for mine, though I haven't toyed with it in the editor much.

I'll ask again, by 2.7, you mean 2.07? If so, I think that could be the problem because the editor I think was primarily designed for 2.11 and I imagine theirs some inconsistencies. Also, if you're on 2.07, the XXXXXXX won't work since it wasn't added until 2.09. Adding a lot of items I imagine could also be the cause and I have had saves get corrupted from reloading the save again in the editor before copying it to my console. Not just with GE, but pretty much any save editor.

My advice would be to update to 2.11, avoid adding too many items and don't load your save in the editor twice before copying to the console.

I have a question. On 2.11 and GE 1.3.1..If I create hybrid and load a game everything looks ok but as soon as I try to do something with that car in the game it just reverts back to normal stock car w original parts.

edit: Tried it 2nd time, did everything the same and now it works.. don't get it really.

You can use GE 1.3.1 to insert car tickets and thus making that be pretty easy.
