So we've seen the C1 Corvette here in this thread. I recently got my hands on a C2 'Vette, and it was notable for being the 1963 model, which, according to the game, was the only model with the split rear window (how the hell would you park this thing?). The handling was hilarious, weighing more than twice that of a Lotus Elise but being softer than the Elise. That, and it only had 3 gears.

Regardless, the headlights just blew me away. First, here's a shot of it retracted, alongside a Toyota 2000GT, also one of the cars with curious pop up headlights:

Now, here's the erect version:

I love how it rotates upwards at the front of the car, instead of being behind the bumper. Not to mention, the pivot of rotation seemed to be somewhere in the middle of the headlight housing as opposed to being further back. I'd love for this car to be premium just to see how it retracts and erects.

And here's a top down view of the car; you could hardly tell that the headlights are up, if at all.

Like I said, there's definitely a charm to these innovative headlight designs, be it old and dorky on questionable cars, or otherwise.

That's true. The C2 was introduced in '63, but the split window was scrapped for '64 because of poor rearward visibility.

Sorry, I thought the C3 was the C1 since IMO it looked older than the C2. I'm not very familiar with Corvettes, sorry. I'm learning to like them though!

Admittedly the C1 'Vette is starting to grow on me after seeing some of these pictures. And damn, I was hoping a Cizeta V16T would show up in my UCD before someone beat me to it on this thread. Those lights are just... unfathomable.

Also, I've been driving around in... a FWD Toyota?! 0.o Impossible!

It's a Celica, although I'm not exactly sure of the model name. It was too complicated. But would you just LOOK at it!

And, I finally get my hands on a 180SX. It IS amazing to look at, but the 60/40 weight distribution was extremely awkward to say the least...
