Point invalidated when you said "let the people decide". Which "people" are you talking about? Only Irish and Australians, but not Americans?
I know you're going for a bit of light character assassination here, but just consider your position with that post: in an effort to try and marginalise my comments, you have insinuated that people are somehow able to make decisions in countries outside their own despite having no legal precedent or jurisdiction to do so.

I find that 2 is a nice place to be.

The kinsey test is kind of weird. If you can answer the questions truthfully, how would you not know how gay you were already?

True, I've had a feeling I'm an Asexual for awhile.

I'm usually 1-2 depending on the day. It was a 1 this time.

I got a 0 (somewhat expectable when I saw the questions), and I still hate questions with negatives on them with a passion. Takes so much unnecessary effort to answer those...

I scored an X. I have a feeling that isn't where I really am though.

I think Ireland had the right idea - put the question to the people. If you let the politicians decide, it becomes a political issue. If we held a referendum tomorrow, it's likely that gay marriage would be legalised - but the conservatives are in power and go out of their way to shut the idea down.
Im sure you remember Labour shutting it down as well.

Fact is both our major Political parties are Socially Conservative.

We're putting a same-sex marriage bill to parliament on Monday:

http://mobile.abc.net.au/news/2015-...te-members-bill-to-allow-gay-marriage/6499124

I'm guessing that it will be shot down because the Opposition is the Opposition and doesn't have the numbers to get a bill through, but at the same time, I think the government will have a hard time justifying the refusal to allow a conscience vote. And the Opposition are no doubt playing their cards to follow through on the Communications Minister's comments that the attitude in the government is changing. They're probably hoping for another infamous captain's call shutting it down.

What is the proper term for it?
"Wife".
Am I the only one who had the mental image of someone asking an encyclopaedia for information, and when the encyclopaedia didn't know it asked Famine?

Unless the phrase, "The pope told me that..." was in front of his statement I have no clue why anyone is listening to what an altar boy is saying.

If the head altar server is an acolyte (which I believe they are) then they're one of the few ordained roles in the Vatican that will speak on matters of social politics aside from the Pope. That post is responsible for the education of servers and certain lay positions.

Incidentally, I think that role is the only one where the server must be male, regular servers are allowed to be male or female in several countries including Vatican City..

Pietro is actually the nr2 guy in the Vatican.

The Vice Pope.

Typical Vatican, assume we all have to live by their rules

You know what we were saying about hate crime. I can think of one person I'd want prosecuted before it's abolished
