there was NO derogatory term!
That's not your call.

Quite frankly its an unneeded comment and all its likely to do is cause an argument.

If you can't post in this thread in an adult manner without using it then don't post.

Might as well skip sarcasm too
Given that the comments was not sarcasm or satire, but rather the inane ramblings of a previously banned member, you may wish to refrain from commenting when you are not aware of all the facts.

Y'know. The more I think about it the more I wonder why it matters whether it's natural, whether it's a choice. I really just don't get it.

It being a natural way to be born isn't going to convince the religious to think differently because whether or not it's natural isn't their concern; it's whether or not their religion says it's okay. And people who just think it's gross and can't deal with that probably won't change no matter what way it is. I'm fairly sure the vast majority of our day to day activities are so far from natural that it's hardly a basis for whether or not something is "right" or "wrong".

I'm by no means saying this should stop debate over whether or not it is, but I have to ask the people calling it out for being unnatural; why does homosexuality being unnatural make it any worse than all of the other unnatural things we humans do in our day to day lives?

First off it should be my call....I wrote it. If I felt it in anyway was going to incite a riot or cause any issues I wouldnt have put it. I did post in an adult manner, you seem to just be ego tripping (IMO thats how you come across). I will skip the "adult threads" since you cant actually be one in them. And as far as the sarcasm comment, I was referring to myself and not the banned member. The last thing I was trying to do is cause any problems ...but if thats how you took it so be it. Sorry

Because people are gossipy and nosy and want to make everyone's else business their own. And religious types tend to feel they have some obligation to save others from their sins, which is more amusing with Christians because of Matthew 7:3-5.

Oh the irony.

French gay-marriage bill clears parliamentary vote
FRANCE 24
France’s marriage equality bill cleared its first and main hurdle on Saturday when lawmakers overwhelmingly approved the most important article of the new law, redefining marriage as an agreement between two people of opposite or same sex.

A controversial bill to legalise same-sex marriage took its first step to becoming law on Saturday when lawmakers voted in favour of an article that redefines marriage as an agreement between two people rather than between only a man and a woman.

Deputies met for a rare weekend session at the French parliament after it was decided that 14 consecutive days would be dedicated to the controversial bill, which has long been supported by progressive voters but remains hugely unpopular among Catholic and conservative groups.

The article was approved 249-97, with most deputies from the ruling Socialist Party (PS) voting in favour, and all but one of the conservative UMP party’s representatives voting against. The two far-right National Front (FN) deputies opposed the bill, and the party called on its supporters to join Catholic-driven protests against it.

Glad to see that the votes were well in favour of marriage equality 👍

I think it's hilarious when religious types cherry-pick passages from the bible/torah/kuran/whatever, to use against others. Doesn't it say somewhere (in the bible at least) something about taking the log out of your own eye before worrying about the splinter in your brothers eye?
Also, why do they never quote the bits that tell of how their god told the Israelites to murder and rape their enemies? They go very quiet when that is pointed out to them!

I've had some experience debating with Christians on another forum, and they'll just say "THAT'S OUT OF CONTEXT!" to you. Yes, because there's certainly something in there that justifies rape and dashing babies' heads against rocks.

Some rather important stuff going on right now in the UK.

Now if you don't mind, I have some marriages to devalue.

*listens carefully* I don't hear Britain collapsing into immoral dust right now.

Any MP of any stripe who voted against the state treating its citizens equally should be voted out of their seat next election.

I read about this, it's fantastic news. I'm glad that the UK government has taken the step that so many other governments refuse to.

Does the bill allowing gay marriage still need to pass the House of Lords and receive Royal Assent? If so, does it seem likely to be codified into law?

Great news nonetheless. Congrats, Britain.

This type of nature would never happen if satan the devil would never came to the earth. Gays wouldn't ever exist, if Satan never came here
