I'm not just saying that either just because I own one in real life :D. It handles so well for not having crazy aero. Especially the Opera S2000. I can't believe I was able to get a sub 7 min ring time with it...lol

Yeah it's a beast at 500pp. I've seen the 2003 V-Spec ran at 6:58 on sports soft. My best so far is a 7:04 on sports soft with no downforce. Car is insane.

I tried the Opera S2000 standard no upgrades except oil change @283 bhp/484 pp. put it on sport softs and ran a 7.18.992 although lap was a bit raggedy. Are you using any tuning to beat 7 mins or am I just not good enough?

One of my favourite cars in the game. Lots of different versions to play with, but my choice for pick of the bunch would be the amuse gt1 turbo. Devastatingly capable car.

I wouldn't say awesome. It's good for its category and one of two Hondas with the correct drivetrain. It's nice to have a race car engine on it too, even though it can be a bit anemic at times due to the low displacement. It's fun, but it's really nothing special.

And the Opera doesn't count as calling the S2000 an overall awesome car. The Opera is not an S2000; it's a professionally tuned, track oriented car that used to be an S2000. To consider a car good or not, you must compare its stock form against its stock competitors.

But to each its own, I guess. I prefer the Z4 and think its far better even though I know that the S2000 performs better (both stock and comparing it with the 3.0 Z4, of course). The S2000 simply fails to give me what the Z4 does, which is a huge smile and goosebumps when taking it around the track.

One of the only things I really like about the S2000 is the looks though. It's one of those designs that don't get old no matter how many years pass. It's like the Fairlady Z 300ZX Z32.

Correct in my opinion.

My own issue with it is that, like many Hondas, it has an unfair advantage with respect to performance point calculation. I think, along with NSXs and FF Type Rs, they ought to have their values increased somewhat.

Haven't tried the Opera yet in GT6 but the S2000 LM Race Car is a beast at 500PP,

My sentiments exactly. The LM Race Car is my most favourite drive in the series 👍 I'm quite a poorly skilled GT player, if i am honest, but i can can get a 6.50 (with engine upgrades etc) on the 12km nurb track with the LM. For someone as bad as me, it's one hell of a satisfying drive :embarrassed:

S2K and the NSX are the only two Hondas I really like, they handle like dreams and they looks pretty cool! I'm down for S2000's.

I just prefer fast Toyotas so my Hondas don't get as much love as they deserve...I need to work on that =P

I feel any car with a engine you can wind to eleven thousand RPMs is kinda special.

Lets have this in the game:

Dude the S2000 has been a great car for a LONG time in GT. After reading this thread I went and won a few races with my 06 last night!

Well, it does have a race car engine in it basically. That's really cool. And it's one of the only 4 banger engines that actually sound great (in real life). Plus, I've mentioned already that it's a very nice looking car.

Still, I'm not a Honda fan.

I like the Amuse S2000 R1 Titan, because of Hot Version xD By the way, there's actually no such thing of the GT-1 Turbo, just GT-1. The Amuse Original Stroked 2.3L F20C Turbo Engine is still in the Amuse Offices, and never been installed after Tanabe-san's death in 2008 so all of the GT-1s that Amuse makes are N.A.

ummmmmmmm

I think you should watch this:

Compared to his other reviews that one is actually very positive. The only one car I remember that he praised more was the Elise.

And I'll take the opportunity to say that I found a very cheap move that he started e-begging money when he crashed his car.

My S2000 is faster than BMW M3's and porshe 911's at the track, so I don't see how a measly z3 can compete at being awesome:gtpflag:. It also gives me plenty of goosebumps in the corners

I know it doesn't exist in real life, although I wasn't aware of why, or even that the engine was built!

It exists in game, so that's enough for me.

Both Spoon S2000's are my favourites. The Spoon race car handles just like the Amemiya Touge Monster. I love it. Plus, I still cant understand why they arent fully rendered.

I raced the AEM S2000 at Suzuka for S.N.A.I.L., it proved that it is good as a drift car, but not a race car. :yuck:

Still, my stock S2000 is a hoot!

I spent ages tuning the AEM S2000 for racing, I got it well set up but at 550PP it was a lot slower still than my 500PP Opera S2000
