Got ahold of the twin turbo NSX tonight (thanks Ferraridude) and holy crap it's a thrilling car to drive. Those gears are pretty far apart but you'd never tell with how fast that V6 revs. Handles like a really, really fast roller coaster most the time, but when you hit the limit there is no going back, before you can correct it you've collided with the wall and suffered a dramatic, fiery death- it's dangerous. Dangerous, but one of the most engaging, rewarding to drive cars in GT5. Definitely one of my favorite cars, and most certainly one of my favorite hybrids, right up there with the Z06 and Mustang powered Miatas.

Can't resist it, can you? :sly: Turn off ABS, and use a clutch & shifter and you've got carporn on your hands. When everything goes right, there's nothing better than that car, plus the sound on it! All credit goes to the original creator, Ridox2JZGTE. (Hopefully he doesn't mind it got shared.)

I unknowingly drove the car on the Nurby Nordy with ABS off the first time around and promptly sent the car into the first wall and died.

Right after I had that chassis restoration too. :grumpy:

Turned ABS on like it should be and had a much better time. Spun out a bunch at first but with some precise throttle control was able to make it dance through those first few corners. All was well until I reached that last part of the track with all the high speed bends where it just hit the fan and I spun out a whole bunch. Still had a bunch of fun though. :dopey:

The quest of trying to do a Subaru BRZ with proper "whoosh" and turbo gauge.

I tried swapping the body of another car that can buy turbo and see...little did I know that I would be blessed with a wonderful sound...but there was one flaw...

It was as useful as a cinderblock....
I digress,I shall go further into research...I think...

Lol someone needs to throw that engine into something a bit prettier. Would be hilarious

How does a GTR Sound? Cause I did :sly: Utterly insane. The torque means it will just keep on going and going and going...

Not sure where your difficulty is, my BRZ has a working Turbo gauge and blow off valve noise and everything... Then again, mine is sporting an RB26...

I don't mind at all :) That Acura has been gifted with LM Proto Chassis, so it's more fun on the edge of grip, I made another with only twin turbo added - stock Acura NSX, even more hair rising to drive. I also have the NSX Type R '02 version with the Proto LM chassis and a stock chassis version too :)

Right now, most of my building time spend on making more Twin Turbo version of premium sports cars. -Dodge Viper GTS + SRT10, Challenger SRT8, Chevy Camaro SS, Vette Z05, Z06, Ferrari 599, 458, Alfa 8C, Callaway SledgeHammer ZR1 C4, SLS AMG, Lamborghini Gallardo, Aventador + Murcielago .. and so on ..all with working turbo sound + gauges + awesome exhaust:crazy:

That is why I decided to have Supercharged BRZ S, the HP difference is pretty big but the torque delivery helped. With twin turbo high rpm kit - 350+HP, with Supercharger 281HP, but the torque is almost similar and peak torque is lot earlier on the Supercharged BRZ.

Tried that WRX '10 turbo kit, no proper sound, tried more than 8 turbo kits from variety of cars, no luck. It seems the car was coded in a peculiar way like ZR1 C6 '09, with turbo installed, the exhaust sound will be inaudible.

I do not understand, everyone seems to be having trouble putting turboed engines into N/A cars, and not getting sound. I put my STi motor in my BRZ, put stock exhaust and it sounds awesome, yet it isn't working for other people. I'm a but confuzzed.

I also did a Supercharged BRZ with the C6 ZR1 Supercharger.
Same thing,no gauge or "whoosh"

Don't use the stock supercharger, use the bolt on :) and my BRZ uses supercharger from different car - not from Vette - more HP and more torque at lower rpm, need to find one that matches.

You are using turbo engine from the donor car in the first place, if using stock BRZ NA engine, it does not have proper sound.

What do you mean by "bolt-on"? I bought the aftermarket part...thing....
Also funny,R34 with Turbo and BRZ engine sounds pretty good.

I mean the part that can be removed and installed ( bought first ), by default, stock ZR1 C6 already has supercharger :)

I still couldn't find a way to make the BRZ with original engine to have turbo with proper sound ... this is the only car that have sound issue ...haven't encounter any with Italian, American and other Japanese cars, except ZR1 C6 :(

Does it work with the FR-S though?

Edit: Can I try the Supercharged BRZ you made?

Sure, send me FR, I'll put in on share for a short time, I am sharing some cars for FITT Tuning Shootout at the moment.

Found another car with sound issue when turbocharged, Lambo Aventador ... it's a shame, going to supercharged it instead, should hit 1000HP easy. Also found something similar with cars that have sound issue when turbocharged .. not sure if I can fix it though.

Twin Turbo Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 :) Yay, in cockpit view, the turbo spools up and BOV noise are so audible, awesome engine note too :D 910 HP/8000rpm, 628 ft lb/6500rpm with only turbo installed, all stock original - 605PP, this would be a killer 600PP car :)

Stock exhausts + turbochargers = :drool::drool::drool::drool::drool:

On a side note, without hybriding, the Audi R8 4.2 V8 also sounds like sex when turbo-ed with stock exhausts. 👍

My last build for the day : McLaren F1 '94 with Twin Turbo, all stock original, 910HP and 1140 kg .. wild beast ... on 3rd or 4th gear cruising from low speed, pedal to the metal, the turbo sounds so loud in cockpit :) even with the rumbling semi racing exhaust or screaming racing exhaust ... turbo spools up from as low as 3k to the red line

I was trying to re-create a Drag Pack Challenger. Challenger TC chassis and engine. I have run a 10.00 so far with no boost. I plan to add a big single turbo after I break into the 9's naturally aspirated.
