Something cool about seeing this from all the TV angles as well as seeing this from the single stream (Apart from the 1 second delay of the Velocity Coverage)

So seeing as this is Lot #744 and they have just reached Lot #701, I think tonight is the night we see it.

Anyone want to wager on how much it'll sell for?

It sold slightly more than a base MT900....

Hey the owner get freebies like twin turbos, a pair of nitrous bottles and 7 years of R&D work. :dopey:

How much is a Mosler to start with? I seriously doubt he got back 1/10th his investment, much less the car. Also the guys on stage didn't sound too convincing. They basically could have said "It's nice" and that would have had the same effect.

EDIT: Tree'd by...pretty much everyone.

I can almost guarantee he didn't considering the 200k is before B-J gets their take (no clue how much they take). The only way I can see him breaking even on the car at least is if he bought it as a salvage (which would have been mentioned).

IIRC Barrett-Jackson's sellers fee is 10% added to the hammer price. I wonder if they would even allow a salvaged car on their stage?

Hell of a steal for that price. Owner's getting nitrous, a twin-turbo and a lot of engine work.

I bet Titanium Man is having a conniption over the poor profit margin/loss on the car.

Edit: $220k, not $200k.

OK, I think it has to be asked. What would you (to no one specific) do with the car if you'd just bought it? Show it off? Track it? Parts?

3,000 HP at 10,000 RPM, I would think it would give a new meaning to pushrod, as the conrods break through the confines of the block, if it ever gets tested at all. Then again, it probably does fine idling around sounding beastly with occasional 6-8K rpm free revs... bench racing car of legend here.

7 years and 20'000 work hours spent for making a car less worth than stock, sounds great.

Awesome company by the way, doesn't even know how to create a website.

Just found this thread and had to register to add a comment. The Mosler IAD Land Shark exists. I was the buyer at Barrett-Jackson last Saturday. I met the seller at the auction and believe me, both he and the car are the real deal. The car is a work of art and the seller is a gentleman and a true professional.

Not sure if I have the ability or guts to push it hard myself. I've got Ferraris and Lambos, but this thing is in another world. The one thing the seller stressed to me was "Don't kill yourself in this car." I trust him and will follow his advice!

Huh, never thought the owner would make an appearance. Congrats on the new Mosler! Just, er...be careful in it.

Since you have Ferraris and Lambos, what makes you interested to own this Mosler ? Where will you be driving it ? At the track ?
