Just found this thread and had to register to add a comment. The Mosler IAD Land Shark exists. I was the buyer at Barrett-Jackson last Saturday. I met the seller at the auction and believe me, both he and the car are the real deal. The car is a work of art and the seller is a gentleman and a true professional.

Not sure if I have the ability or guts to push it hard myself. I've got Ferraris and Lambos, but this thing is in another world. The one thing the seller stressed to me was "Don't kill yourself in this car." I trust him and will follow his advice!
I'm sure you'll understand if we ask for some proof of that. You get people claiming anything on the internet.

Some photos would do for a start.

I called out this bogus claim 7 years ago when I saw it at the Palo Alto Concours D'elegance. He was making the same claims then. I guarantee other than a motor swap, it doesn't have a fraction of what is claimed. And the motor won't make that power either.

I don't know who bought it, but if its ever scrutinized, the buyer is going to be upset.

Here is where I called it out a long time ago: http://cartruthblog.blogspot.com/2009/07/vaporware-2500hp-mosler-mt900-gtr-xx.html

Don't start your career on GTPlanet by stomping on people's feet.

You called out his claims...seven freaking years ago. Don't you think seven years of work is enough to actually substantiate those claims?

The buyer got it for less than stock Mosler's have gone for so even if it doesn't make the claimed figures he still got a good deal.

No. Many of the claims from when the car was originally announced were, to be frank, impossible. The car as it went to auction was considerably different in specs and believability from the one talked about back then.

That being said, I certainly have to wonder what the point is in joining a forum to do basically the opposite of Titanium Man was attempting to do.

What's even stranger is how Titanium Man's original post exists as a comment on that seven year-old article. This guy must've went to every page Google threw at him to copy/paste his taunts.
