Speaking as one of the elite, one who owns his own land and water rights, I feel disgusted that people don't bow down and ask my permission to draw from my precious air resources!
You exchange certain freedoms for the privilege of living in a modern society. You want to live off the fruits of the Earth? There are billions of people who would gladly change places with you. You get the freedom to starve slowly to death. They give up that freedom for clean food, clean water and a safe place to sleep.
Hell, if you live in America, you don't even have to leave the country to do it. So many people trade their modern lives for a hovel out in New Mexico or up in the woods, risking death by disease simply to be "free".
"Tough reality vs. sweet lie" but actually it can be very opposite. The message itself is a good one. It's not all about shiny part of modern world. There is a darker side.
But the claim that "elite" owns all land and water on EARTH is OTT (there are lots of forests that belong to country but you can still do pretty much everything there); claim that people think that they are the smartest and that they don't care is OTT, also that people think that ie phones and cars are "the biggest advancements, unbeatable", it's wierd. People would obviously like cleaner vehicles.
Many people say that people were better before. Unlike the video. I never heard someone say "Ancient Greeks were less advanced" for example. While people like to criticise, rarely someone jumps to such conclusion.
Schools can't teach us how to live, they were never meant to be like that (besides religious ones). They are meant to teach people to work. It's up to people to stop just "learning the world through textbook." We witness the extraordinary on screens but we can in real life too but not all the time. Nobody can forbid someone to do that..
Clearly this person leaved in a more isolated envirnoment where he had more freedom and didn't need much technology. Definetly an envirnomentalist and animal rights fighter.
We should care about future too. We should care more for ecology and for us. Also he's right about internet being a great platform to share information. But anyone who is computer, car, bike, machine and so on enthusiast is "nature hater" to him, probably. Or a shill, a person with no brain, a doll who wants to spread lies and cares only for evil interests. While envirnomentalists are probably some "angels" that can save life on earth.
Yes we can't ruin Earth but we can life on it. That is true.
And that "so we obey" is apparently the absolute worst thing. So elites want to destroy the very envirnoment they live in, and make limitless damage to themselves? Is it time people like these to think that "obeying" can be a good thing, and that elites aren't that rich and protected and stupid at the same time?
These kind of people are getting very influential. They act like victims and truth talkers yet they use many methods that mainstream media uses like sensationalism, nice thimbnail, cclickbaits, out of context content.
Yes, people shouldn't be taken a word for word but at least they shouldn't invert the context and do the research.
TLDR Something is just so timid about this video. It's OTT and many cliches are there in the vid. There are lies and half thruths. Yet people fail to realise it.
