The Le Mans General Discussion Thread

ABC isn't covering the ALMS race today are they? It's the only channel I can get in Canada. Looks like I'll have to watch a live stream again like I did for Sebring.

It'll be live on ESPN 2 today.

I'm confused. The ALMS website says the race is in like four hours or so. But ESPN says they'll broadcast it at 7:15? So if I watch it on ESPN, will I be able to watch live timing, too?

I think the ALMS ticker is off.

EDIT: I think the ticker isn't made to adjust to different time zones for some reason. It must think I live in Cali and it's almost 1pm here. Makes sense now. I trust ESPN.

Hmm, I'll see if I can find you a stream then, though I could've sworn TSN (assuming you get them) often carried ESPN feeds.

Wait, you can get Speed but you can't get ESPN 2 on your provider?

I have TSN, I'll give it a check although I don't think they're broadcasting it. Thanks

Edit: Nope, no broadcast

Oh. Espn 2 on TV? I got it mixed up with ESPN3.com. I have Direct TV so I will check. What time is the race?

I have Direc TV and it's channel 209. I believe it starts at 4:30 PM PST.

Not to get all tangled up in time zones, but if it starts at 5:30 PST doesn't that mean it would be 8:30 EST US? I'm just saying because on the east coast ESPN is saying it starts at 7:30. Maybe there's some summer conversion I'm not considering?

Damn. I went to Sebring, was awesome. Can you post a link to the long beach race?
Edit: is the race already over? I didn't know it was starting so early...

I was wrong, it starts at 4:30. So it's all good.

The ALMS will stream it live for those outside the US, on their website.

If you're in the US, it will be live on both ESPN2 (On your television) AND espn3.com at 7:15 Eastern time.

imo bad start time idea by IMSA and ALMS or ESPN for that matter when at 7:15 or so the Nascar race at texas starts and most american race fans will be watching that but still two great races to watch tonight

So TSN will not be showing it then. Ok, I'll start looking.

Thanks a lot. I have one booked marked that broadcasted Sebring in HD (it was ESPN's feed) not sure if the same one is streaming Long Beach today.

As per the nascar race, ESPN3 allows you to 'replay' a certain event after it happens, and the ALMS website posts the segments as well as video streams on their website. So you could potentially watch both.

I, however, will definitely, definitely be missing the nascar race. I can't wrap my head around oval racing, but good luck to the drivers and all.

Thanks for the tip, I didn't realize you could do that. I don't have DVR and wasn't going to be home for the race.
