The little things that you find ANNOYING IN GT SPORT.

I would like to know what little annoyances you have in game. This is not a thread where you crap on the game. I.e. No tracks/cars, everybody's ramming me and I hate it etc.

A little thing I find annoying is when in an FIA race when everybody starts flashing their lights/turning wheels before the race.

The way guys from Brazil drive....yea...race among them

Oh, not to mention the goofy names drivers pick instead of just using some variation of their actual name. Imagine if the pros used an aka of the AOL prefix variety. Mine is Doug now dog and wolf of Wolfe 77 is the car number

You stay classy (San Diego)
If it could conceivably be a purchased advertisement space, yes. If simply art or no marketing value, no.
If that’s what is meant by being on a race car or billboard or milk carton etc...

Sad and very annoying to drive here in GT Sport on Brand Hatch and Monza if you know them from Assetto Corsa .
Where were they when they made those tracks .

I bet if this website was portuguese instead of english, we'd read tones of posts from Brazilians complaining about Americans.

Is dogwolf a variation of your actual name?

Yes, Doug Wolfe . 77 is my number

You realize Dog Wolf doesn't sound like a variation of a name to 99% of the people who see it, right? :) To me, Dog Wolf just seems like another random nickname a teen would create for his avatar. Nothing personal, ofc. But to a non english speaking person (majority of people playing any game) it's not obvious that you made a nickname based on your actual name

Also, not everyone has a name with which is possible to do something like you did.

Racing in the real world is avoiding collisions that could be deadly at speed. GTS is attempting to vanquish those that don’t get it. Real drivers do not body check others, for the sake of getting ahead. Imagine if they did? No offense to Brazil, I witnessed this style in almost every race so far. Sometimes it’s American, Canada, Brazil. I see a trend. Hard not to see the trend or racing styles.

No offense

I completely get that and no offense taken. Here, I’m dog wolf. In the game I’m DPWolf

What is your name in GTS and I will send a friend request?

Don't worry, the US is the dirtiest region anyway so that's just what you're experiencing

The DRS on the F1 car cannot be controlled. Should've made it the turn signal/hazard lights button.

Not so much about the game but the events. I was watching the Nismo TV Nissan GT Sport cup final last night. Every race was a rolling start, these guys are pros they should be able to handle a grid start with little to no problems.

I just hit the livery collection limit (1000) sometime in the past month. I've known about the limit, but it just slipped my mind that I got closer to it. And I was expecting a warning ("you can't add anymore liveries to your collection" or similar). But nope, PD just allows you to "download" liveries even though it doesn't get saved. All those hours wasted and all those liveries that won't be seen again are potentially lost forever...

I just spent an hour deleting stuff, and only got it down to 930 or so. No doubt it will fill up again in a month's time. Always PD and their rubbish random limits on things. Always. :banghead:

Here's a couple of little gripes, although more to do with the people who play the game than the game itself. I'm no angel myself, but at least I try to be before the red mist comes down!

1.
Let's assume that I am duelling with another racer for P3 in a race, maybe a second or two behind the leader. I'm in 4th and a tad quicker than the racer in 3rd, but he weaves and blocks all over the place until, when I eventually pass, I am 6 or 7 second behind the lead and therefore out of contention. Not letting me through has cost us both, but the other racer doesn't seem to realise this and will do anything and everything to cling on to 3rd. With some astute and careful 'racing', we could have used each other to catch the leaders and maybe ended up duelling over 1st and 2nd instead of 3rd and 4th.

2.
Why do some people assume that every square inch of the track is suitable for passing but not a single square inch is suitable for being passed?

I suppose PD could have used the old Typical / Average "Racial Stereotype" Names for each Country..Sanchez...must be a Mexican, Rossi = Italian, etc.
But as I'm someone with an Italian Surname born in the UK, I don't really see a problem with the AI names. As they reflect the real world more closely.

What REALLY Bugs me however, is having to RESET my Replay Options each time I play the game. Surely my settings could be Saved somewhere ?

The game counts the whole trunk of 996 as a Rear Wing. And because of it the decal placement on the rear is completely messed up. PD, why? (colors for reference)

Funny because on the 2008 GT3 it's the opposite, just the top is the "Spoiler" and the rest is part of the body.

What's even worse about the 2008 GT3 is you can't paint the front grill with a "lipstick" like the real life GT3 RS has. It's not a part of any decal group, it's black no matter what you do.

Yeah, all I've done if place a "P" plate on the back.

That one is a shame as well.

Can only make my own lip.

The fact that I can't set my racing number if I don't have one of the standard in game ones that are hard to work around, so that it shows "0" next to my name instead of the number that is clearly on the side of the car.

Annoying that WV have two Nostalgic Cups and can't replicate those in Custom Race. Say what?
They make a Gr. X where the classic cars can't compete, but Group C can compete in Gr. 1. Say what, again?

I'm by far, having some of best racing with AI, using the Daytona. Shame the AI don't use different liveries or allow me to assign my creations.

Not receiving prize cars when you win every race in a GT League event

Having to serve penalties manually, cars should automatically slow down

The fact that the R18 '11 (scratched version) can only be obtained through prize roulette and 1 year after release I still don't have it. And it's the only car I don't own.

Scratching my head with the raised white letters on tyres. As soon as I enter the LE, the letters are gone from the Daytona. Yet, in the Nostalgic race, the different livery Daytonas, keep their letters on the sidewalls.

Really, you think so?? I get to drive with other countries and specifically one country that I am always concerned about when I see them near me and its not the USA. If you race in the US region you probably race against more Americans than any other country so percentage wise when you see a dirty driver they will likely be American. But how many of those Americans are clean drivers?? The strange thing about my perception of countries with dirty drivers is that the country I am thinking of will have 2-3 drivers at the most in a field of 20 yet its more than likely if I try to pass one of them they will try to hit me or drive me off the track.

Sorry haha, I'm not targeting the USA. It's the region as a whole. I've been bumped off track, crashed into, rammed into, escorted off track, pit maneuvered, everything you can think of, by Americans just as much as other countries. Heck, I've even met Canadians who are so dirty I consider them to be the worst! Then they proceed to blame me afterwards. I thought the stereotype for that country is that they're good people :dunce:

But yeah, it doesn't matter for me whether they're Brazilian, American, etc. etc. all I know is if I don't take extra care there I'll get punted. But hey, it's this very behavior that lets me get free positions whenever I do no quali runs, because they take each other out. So maybe it's not all bad :)

In 1 very memorable race at Nurb GP I started midfield and there were the country that shall remain unnamed starting 2 and 3 spots ahead and one in front row. I got the first 2 on the same lap a couple laps in, the first one I passed exiting final corner, going thru the slow first turn I heard a huge crashing sound, after the race I watched the replay and I could see the guy aiming to hit me without braking for T1 but he missed.:lol: The next one tried to push me off track while I was passing him. The 3rd one took me a few laps to get by, he was aggressively blocking, you know, 5 moves down the straights plus 3 more in the braking zone, if he had a Superlicense he would have acquired enough points in a few laps for a suspension.:eek::eek::mad::mad::mad: At least they were the only 3 in that lobby from unsaid country, maybe they just dont like getting passed. What I dont understand after watching the replay is how they managed to put in the qualy lap they did, they were awful drivers using every assist, they would have used more assists but they used so many that ran out of them.

That region is wild I tell you :D
The funny thing is some of the cleanest people I know also come from there, so it really is a wild bag

One time I had pole on a 24H daily race. 3rd place wipes me out in T1, I fall back to 8th.

Make my way all the way back to 2nd, and catch up to 1st. Who is a Brazilian. This dude puts his turn signal on, pulls over and lets me pass, then after the race sent me a PSN message commending me for my racecraft

Still the best Sport Mode experience I've had, at the hands of "that region"

Why cant more people race like that? I have raced some very fair and sporting people from all countries in our region and have seen some of their worst unfortunately. There are just too many who think if they can just gain 1 more position or maintain their spot that will make them the greatest sim racer in history.

I think that Martin Brundle (ex F1 British Racing Driver & now F1 Commentator) put it best...when he said that one Particular Driver...drove into the Corner then ran out of...Talent !!

Think perhaps there are a lot of "kids" in the on-line Races who don't / can't actually Drive in real life. Hopefully they'll move to something a little better suited to their Driving style..like Mario Kart !!

Unfortunately there are "Twots" from every Country. With a win at all costs mentality...where if they can get away with cheating they'll not even worry about it. There need to be some Harsher Penalties for Persistent Offenders. Also what's with the "Giving the Innocent Victim who's Punted off into the Gravel" an Additional Time Penalty ? :dunce:

Here's the thing: PD did try to add that "Harsher Penalties for Persistent Offenders" thing. So many people got tilted that they were labeled as such because they thought they're the cleanest drivers there ever is, ahem, that PD got backlash and is now gone

Not sure if this was mentioned but I find the headlight reflections are very odd. Mostly in older cars with a sealed beam design, the headlights are too reflective like its chrome with no lense. For example, the '66 VW:

Sure it looks nice, but they're too reflective to the point it looks fake. On a bright sunny day in real life, the reflections in the headlight bucket wouldn't be so dark.
Here is an example:
