The little things that you find ANNOYING IN GT SPORT.

The reset of options each time you do a custom race. Im sure it's been said many times.
Mostly though, it's not really a little thing.. Is why they still didn't fix the pedals calibration on the g29. A wheel with the official ps logo and replicating the ds4 buttons.. It's baffling from a dev like Pd who value polish.
Also missing qualifications, racing challenges that are just silly arcade catch-ups.
Custom races where the game puts a car too higher performing that you need apply bop or use the silly boost upgrades in your car.

I'm not sure what part of the G29 calibration you're referring to but you can be assured it's not just G29 owners with issues. Thrustmaster wheels/pedals (even the T-GT) have brake calibration issues if you use the brake mod.

There needs to be a proper calibration tool for all wheels.

There is no "calibration" with the G29, and it's definitely not a PD thing. What I assume you're referring to is the brake pedal not responding to the full-pedal travel even with the rubber stopper removed. That's a Logitech firmware by-design "feature" and has nothing to do with GT Sport.

Yes for sure.., well i mean implementing a much more polished compatibility of the pedals for throttle and braking so it's not all over the place and follows the degree of application you put on your inputs with a reasonable precision.

The throttle and brake on g29 in gts goes up and down and is way sensitive and not precise at all to a ridiculous degree really. You can see it in the input u.i. its crazy. Even the engine sound goes up and down like it has a stroke.
@Granadier well i have no issues in any other game and it's more about the ridiculous lack of any precision. And it's not just a little, the throttle goes up and down with the smallest change of pedal input and then braking is crazy sensitive, not the other way around.

What you say about the Logitech firmware by-design "feature" is true but there is still in-game calibration. People that don't press their pedals hard enough or through the full range of travel find this out. Here's an example (from post #5 onwards): https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/braking-with-pedals-useless-g29-no-calibration-fixed.374953/ It's the same for Thrustmaster wheel/pedal sets.

The brake issue is an G29 issue as @Granadier has mentioned, but the throttle linearity is whole different kettle of (rotten) fish. Unfortunately this can't be fixed with calibration, and apparently is meant to be this way :indiff:. Check out this thread (17 pages of unhappiness): https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/non-linear-throttle.366409/ This is also the same for other wheel/pedal sets.

:gtpflag:Wow i see, ill try it a lil later ty.
I guess you need do this once each you start the game.
Also do you need not on the controller maybe too to not have problems?

Edit: WOW. well goodness me and what else you can use as an expression for this... Hehe it works!!!!!! Woohooo thanks so much. Happy fellow here hehe.
Weird no one mentioned this up to now, i commented on this in a few threads hayy.
Thanks guys, @FPV MIC
Can't believe it, both pedals so smooth progressive now. Woohoo.
And the engine sound doesn't cut and shake up and down like before. Wow even the clutch is smooth now, it was so abrupt before hehe wow.
Just checked the input race info u.i. and it confirms it. All smooth progressive, especially braking, its night and day difference. Only little thing is when after full throttle i slowly let go of the pedal it shakes going down too fast on the input meter but as soon i reapply throttle its smooth.
Maybe i just need do it again to make it even better.
Edit: well it's just the u.i race info input meter doing that it seems. Because on neutral or while pressing the clutch down and going full throttle and then releasing it slowly the engine rev sound goes down really progressively now too. So all is good.

Edit2: hihihi wow now i can do controlled launches wow, with progressive clutch and throttle control woohoo haha. Big smile now hehe.
Wow i can brake with so fine control now and feel the gradual loss of grip jeez, can't believe took so long to know this.
It changes everything, i can modulate controls and be near the edge so smoothly.
Before it was so abrupt, my goodness..

Even shifting i can do over rev clutch shift to get that little boost. ( power shift )
:gtpflag:Another woohoo lol.. The trail braking turn-in is a world apart better.
It's perfect, was like a lottery before, locking wheels at the smallest touch.
Honestly can't believe it.
I mean the ds4 was ok i guess but now with good pedal control and feel it's superb. Woohoo hihi.:gtpflag: thanks again.
Gonna need to try all my cars now haha.

Edit: just tried the f40 at panorama, can focus on racing now so much more, screeching the tires on each turn near the limit. And passing cars with control and no big risk to lose it or hit the other car as before.
In the replays it looks much more like a smoothly racing wheel pedal controlled car.

Also i can see now from the cockpit the car and hood shifting a little to the side where you're a little turning in while braking when the nose dips too from smooth braking and the suspension compresses and the sway bars i guess trying to keep the weight under control.
Oups i guess I'm out of the thread's subject.
Oh well... Just needed to respond to this solved problem..:D @FPV MIC 👍. :gtpflag:

What is this "fix"? I'm having throttle issues with my G29. At full ,its "cutting out" like TCS is activating

Just pressed all pedals all the way down when 1st on track, not before too maybe.
My controls were horrible, sensitive, not smooth. After this it's been all smooth progressive. Unless maybe cuts still a little if not fully pushed throttle.

Thanks. I might also need to clean the pots. I will try this first.

I would like to see the settings replicated from the FIA/Sport mode races to the offline mode. Right now you have to start a lobby just to set the settings high enough like an FIA race. It would be great to be able to practice alone with those higher settings.

Which higher settings? I dont do online much. But i would like as much options as can offline too.

Another small but especially annoying one as it's essentially a bug.

In the livery editor, some cars have a stock (read: pretty small) wheel size that isn't available with some aftermarket wheels and as a result only +1 or +2 sizes can be chosen. Nothing wrong with that, in real life certain wheels are only available in 16" and up for example, and thus can't be fitted in the stock size for a car that comes with 15"s. I don't actually have a problem with that, even if I sometimes would like the stock size.

BUT.

Equip rally tyres, choose the rally wheels, and the exact same selection of wheels is available - in the stock size and nothing else. What the *bleep* PD? :ouch:

Initial fuel load settings in custom lobbies. If I set to 60%, why doesn't the game start the practice and quali sessions at 60%?

Practice and quali seem to be always no fuel usage and no tire wear; it bugs me that you can't practice FIA race settings without making a custom lobby.

-The livery editor not having the ability to copy the livery to the other side.
-Having to download a livery then go to a separate area from the home menu to change to that livery.
-Not being good enough at the game
-Penalties in quali
-G29 red selector not working properly
-Not being told what Tyres are mandatory in a pit stop
-Inability to know how many times your opponents have pit during the race.

When pressing the exit button doesn't result in an exit but instead takes you to an exit icon upon which you have to then press the enter button in order to actually exit.

At times consistency, cohesion, & common sense seem to be foreign concepts to Polyphony Digital.

That may be annoying but its somewhat understandable i can't remember how many times i pressed exit by accident  .

I don't think it is understandable because sometimes you can exit with just the exit button, & most of the places you can't aren't of vital importance (nothing important is lost). I remember in GT5 there was one place where even the exit & enter buttons had no effect but you had to use the triangle button to exit. It's just bad game design IMO.
