The little things that you find ANNOYING IN GT SPORT.

The classic mini isn't German, everyone knows that. It's listed under the MINI (BMW owned) brand because of licensing. The game isn't declaring the classic mini a German machine.
In that context, can someone explain why Lamborghini isn't listed in Germany?

Something I find annoying:

Making an online lobby with the title explicitly saying what cars are allowed or not. People get on track with the unapproved cars. I wish we could restrict lobbies to certain drivetrains like in GT6. I was trying to get Gr.4 cars but only RWD and not the Megane Trophy. In GT6 I could restrict the layouts to FR, MR, and RR and we'd be fine. Now I have to police it myself but I shouldn't have to when I took the time to say what's what in the room name.

I really hate it when people try to tell me what cars I can drive in lobbies.

(edit to add.. it does also actually annoy me when people dont read the titles or comments)

Then accidentally sold it :grumpy:

I just do not understand why PD does not alter the gearbox to fit for the weekly races. Had this last week in Spa and i just watched the FIA Kart race. I is plain ridiculous because no one would seriously have the idea to set up his gearbox to hit the limiter have way up Kemmel Straight and no draft. I would kindly ask for a bit more effort here.
P.S.:(and that has probably been mentioned a 1000 times but) Excessive fuel burning also seems outdated in the days of rising awareness of ecological challenges. I do not think this is an appropriate message even from a video game plus this should be easy to solve.

Not sure if I’ve mentioned this in this thread before but why did PD change the sound of opponents’ cars a while back?
What I mean is, you can only hear somebody else’s car if they are in front of you. Once they are beside you or behind you their car is completely muted. I really hate this because for one thing it’s unrealistic to have a car magically mute once it reaches a certain point of your fov. Second, since you can’t hear cars behind you, it’s harder to pinpoint where they are behind you if you’re playing on third person. In GT6 and at the launch of GT Sport, if a car was behind you, you heard them loud and clear which made it easier to know where your opponents are just by listening. But during some GT Sport update in 2018 or 2019, they changed the sound for the worse and I have no clue why.

The fact that I can not turn off the 'ahead/behind' timer, without turning off a big chunk of the HUD. That timer makes me nervous sometimes, or at least distracting. But not being able to see in what gear I am also sucks, so HUD ánd timer are always on here.

Also, when searching for a livery, you have search trough at all those pages. If a livery is made 2 years ago, you're looking at page 400ish until you see it. If you search specific, it just takes pages and pages to find something, that might not even be there at all. Was looking for a certain F1 livery, many pages with 0 liveries..

A search is that only as good as the tags that the creator uses when they uploaded livery. If they don’t name a car correctly or accurately and don’t add search tags you can’t be very specific about what you are trying to find. Not really the games fault here, more the users not describing their creations in enough detail.

Ok, i did not know that Mini as company is gone.
Thanks for that!

Mini was/is the name of a car. The company that produced Mini’s was British Leyland who took over the Austin Morris brand which was actually the original producer of the Mini.

No static camera option. Also(I've posted several videos), not being able to choose the camera positions, during the grid demo screen, before starting a race.

It's such a lovely part of the game. It's a continuous slap in the face the driver's names block the viewing. I'd just watch that screen, instead of racing.

The lack of customisation options in a ....custom race! If I want to run my GT40 in classic race, I can't do it. I have to race it in it's N-class and race opponents that I really don't want to race against. Ok, I can run one make, but the all the cars in the same plain livery and then mine, looks silly. The AI have no strategy too, they always run RH tyres so in my view, if I run RS it's kind of cheating!

Good point. I play bf5 and its crucial to hear your surroundings.

Here's another one. "set initial fuel"

I just set up a practice lobby to practice alone, and I didn't realise that the set initial fuel didn't take effect cos I hadn't started a final. What's the point? why is so damn hard for PD just to set it up so the car enters the lobby with less fuel in the tank? why can only be for a race and not a practice.

I beyond fed up with polyphony

It's probably been raised here before but it would be great if Free Practice in FIA events had the same tyre/fuel wear as the race, rather than having to go and manually simulate the conditions.

That *might* be coming in the next update. They're changing something but haven't been clear on exactly what the change is.

One little thing that annoys me in GT Sport is that in sport mode you can get 20 players in a lobby, but for some weird reason you can only have 16 players in a custom lobby.

EDIT - Another thing that annoys me about GT Sport is how you can't relocate/resize the games built in number plates in the livery editor.

I think I've posted that at least twice in this topic. :) Running a ton of practice laps that end up being 3+ seconds faster than under race conditions helps who?
