Thanks again for having me gang 👍 what an awesome battle Robbie and I had race one . I think i wore out his rear bumper 4 times over trying to figure out how the 🤬 i would get around him cleanly . Like i said before guys i most likely will not make more then 2 races so i will always step aside when guys are stuck outside looking in, and they are regular crew members. Im just here to fill in when i can, lets see how Mr Awesome does tonight, maybe if get behind him my throttle will stick like a toyota prius  .

Plug Zone :D- We do have 3-4 spots open if anyone wants to try out a Tuesday night with SRM.
Too bad you can't spend the entire evening with us, but understandable. Same thing with me and not having the time to do every Tuesday with SRM, I do look forward to the occasional special nights with you guys though. I'm going to have to take some liberties with the rankings for you guys that are not able to stay the whole night, especially that Robbie character! lol
And thank you for giving up your spot before you need to go, you know you don't have to do that but I'm sure the others waiting to get in much appreciate it.

Am I understanding right that you base rankings on overall night finish position? If so why not change to only include races competed in? That should balance things out better and I'm sure you can get Excel to not count zeros to make your life easier.

Yea, just overall for the week which isn't working for realistic rankings if guys don't finish the night. I thought about doing the individual races but I'm not that good at excel. Right now I have rows adding up automatically but each week I have to manually change the divided by weeks number. I like the idea of it doing individual races but not quite sure how best to go about that. You any good at Excel?

Did everyone enjoy last night? I sure did, except for, well, you know..... I think that was one of the best nights yet for close racing, all I could think was how much fun GR8 would have had....sucked to be him to miss this week. Eh and I had an incredible battle for the lead in race 2 for about 6 laps. Then I spun myself out.....again.....back to 6th. It was either Aeros or Alexis's fault, one of them put a Whammy on me........from the Pits.
David, old man, older than me, older than burnt toast, older than dried up dog poop, older than that sneeze thingy that is still in the centre of my tv screen...........it's nice not being the oldest anymore. Hey David, what's it all aboot eh?
I'm starting to like driving the older, (like David), cars lately, maybe Bear is on to something.
Nice to have Gutter all night without him getting called out to pound a few Alpha Hotels upside the head.
Steve and I have not talked about next week yet, but I think he wants to race at Not Banochbrea in something that will be scary as H E double hockey sticks.
Who the heck runs out of fuel with two turns to go?? None of us have ever done that before........wink wink.

If you want, you can pm me a copy of your table and I'll muck around with it over the week to get what you're looking for. Also, sadly I must move to the inactive list for now, work has sent me away and next week on I'll be gone for full work weeks at a time. I can probably race on the 11th of September since that's the day I get back from a vacation.

I'd like to give special thanks to our lobby organisers, the youthful @aerolite and the second oldest BOB @Mike Lobban . We just jump in and race on race nights but I'm sure it's not always easy to find the time, and can take away from your own private time, to make the time to prepare for and organise all these meets. Your efforts are greatly appreciated and the lobby IMO is very successful as evidenced by the good turnout, keen racing and good fun we always have. Thanks again buds.

Car choice for next week has been posted Report #2. Please vote there.

That beemer is solid. Was actually my first choice before the Sauber in the current SRM series. Awesome car. đź‘Ť

Trying to keep my vote a secret.

Qualifying starts at 7:30pm est, racing will begin at 8:30pm est. If your interested check out our thread, I posted everything you will need to know for tonight on the SRM thread, should be the last thing posted đź‘Ť. Get in anytime before 8:30 and you will be fine.
I was afraid of that, can't make it tonight, eye doc appointment. I will shoot for next week though, thanks for the info!

I'm beginning to feel like the baby of the group - at 47! What's really funny is when I came to online racing, I assumed I'd be the old man....

I never really got the hang of this car, but I still had a fun night. Thanks indeed to the BoBs.

Hard choice this week's vote, need to try them both before making a choice...

So bummed about missing last night. While I did complete my pedal project, I went on to do yard work and completely fluffed up my back trimming bushes. Spent last night and today on the couch eating muscle relaxers and Vicodin. Going to miss SRM tonight as well, and worse, I'll be in Chicago next Monday :(. Hopefully I'll catch up with a few of you Friday night.

As for my project: I wanted my pedals closer to the floor, but the way they mounted, and the original tread plate wouldn't allow it. So I needed a new mounting system and new (shorter) tread plate. One of the pictures show how far the original tread plate extended. Hopefully now my feet won't keep sliding down as I'm racing. I kept finding myself racing with my tip-toes on the bottom edges of the pedals.

I'm a big fan of the Formula cars but wanted to pic a prototype to go up against it. I had never driven that BMW before so figured wtf, lets give that a try, it is a really great car and that was with no tune. Even though I chose the cars this week, I am going to have a very hard time deciding which one to vote for!

Here's my fastest lap in the Formula Ford I drove on Friday! The track record is a 1:10.8, and I managed to get down to a 1:11.20 in my second session in the car! The owners PB before I stepped in was around the 1:13 mark... Not too shabby for my first run eh?

That car suits you Robbie! Any plans on trading up in the future?

Seems like the last couple times I have raced, the very next week has been a mandatory car chosen by the organizers and there has been no vote.

I am exercising one of my saved up unused votes for this week :)

We've already begun looking for a nationally competitive Formula Ford. I turned some heads last weekend and I might move up the ranks sooner than I had planned.
I saw a couple minor moments where the car got a little unsettled. I imagine if you could tune it to your specifications, you'd smash the lap record. There's an easy half second in there in my opinion. Can't wait to follow your progression. đź‘Ťđź‘Ťđź‘Ť

I'm not voting this week because I won't be racing, but if there's a tie let me know, and I'll break it. :mischievous:

The unsettled bits were because of my right foot ;) the car was actually a dream to drive, super easy to turn in and maneuver, just difficult with the carb jetting to properly rev match after a hard braking zone. Clutchless shifting rocks!

Back problems suck, feel better soon Lakes.

That's awesome, got my fingers crossed for you!
What make FF is in the vid?

Well, walked into Game Stop today and pre-ordered PCars 2 - I'm really looking forward to it!
