I'm going to be buying this tonight, just wondered whether anyone has downloaded it yet.

If you don't know about the expansion check out this the Rockstar site

Johnny is a veteran member of The Lost, a notorious biker gang. Johnny has been creating business opportunities for The Lost in Liberty City, but his first loyalty must be to the patch he wears on his back and to Billy Grey, the club's President. However, when Billy returns from rehab hell-bent on bloodshed and debauchery, Johnny finds himself in the middle of a vicious turf war with rival gangs for control of a city torn apart by violence and corruption. Can the brotherhood survive?

Developed by series creator Rockstar North and set in Liberty City, Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned features a new main character, Johnny Klebitz, and plot that intersects with the storyline of Grand Theft Auto IV; new missions that offer an entirely fresh way to explore Liberty City with new multiplayer modes, weapons and vehicles; and a diverse soundtrack with additional music—all with the incredible production values that are the trademarks of Grand Theft Auto.

Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned is the highly-anticipated first episode of Grand Theft Auto IV downloadable content for Xbox 360 ® and will be available exclusively on Xbox LIVE ® on February 17th, 2009 worldwide.

Starting February 17th, 2009 worldwide at 3:00 AM Eastern Standard Time, simply go to Xbox LIVE Marketplace with your connected Xbox 360 console and purchase the Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned download for 1600 Microsoft Points ($19.99).

Note that to play Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned requires a copy of the original Grand Theft Auto IV release for Xbox 360 - but you can play it even if you haven't finished Niko's story.

It seems like an extravagant price for DLC but from the reviews I've read it's supposed to be great. Apparantly they've tweaked the lighting filters (badly) but you can toggle it on and off in the options, so remember that. Let us know what you think!

The price seems a bit harsh but it's one of those situations where I'll end up thinking about it all day until I actually play it. I'll get my initial thoughts up once I've had a go tonight.

I dont have any interrest in buying this especially for that price. If it was co-op then I would buy it in a heartbeat. Let us know how it is.

I'm really looking forward to China Town Wars on the DS, but this should keep me occupied until that's released next month. Hopefully the servers won't be too busy tonight and I can let you guys know it is tonight.

Reading a bit on other boards, they did re-do some of the multiplayer-- you can now specify if you want a game with AA on or off, friendly fire on or off, cops on or off.... and they re-did the anihilator in MP-- has exploding rounds.... thats all I've heard so far, I don't know if there are new mp game modes.... I did cruise youtube but didn't find much....

Apparently some people have already finished the story...

The stuff in bold was already available before the DLC. Well for the 360 version it was. Before the DLC came out you could also specify if you want trafic on or off.

Umm, is it just me or is it $20? I read 20 not 100, why is this expensive? Surely it cant be more than $40 over here and I dont find that too bad.

You can specify it other then as host??

News to me (I'm a PS3 player if you had not noticed)
I meant as a host.
What do you mean by "specify" it? Do you mean vote for it? I know as a host you could always change if you wanted cops on, pedestrians, cars, AA, and many other items even the spawn distance.

Well I purchased this earlier and it took about 2 hours download, bearing in mind I have an 8mb connection. The total download size is about 1.7gb.

I haven't noticed much so far in the single player mode although I did see some new cars and motorbikes. I also got to try some new guns but I'll post some more detail tomorrow once I've had some sleep.

I bought this last night and played the first mission this morning. I liked what I saw! But I won't give it my full thumbs up until I play some more :P

This shows the anihilator change-- exploding rounds... pretty cool looking, although it seems to have given the heli pilots quite an advantage.....

From what I understand, on your phone, you can specify the settings for games you want to enter, but before you enter MP... AA on or off, cops on or off, FF on or off... I believe you can select doesn't matter as well.... these are settings not as host.

Realize this is 2nd hand info...

Enjoy the game everyone.... I am finally jealous of xbox players.

Actually the new settings are available without TLaD on XBox (with the recent IV update)
From the wording I'm guessing that you set what you prefer and then get sent to a lobby with the preferred settings (if possible)

The Anihilator changes are cool, but the helicopter itself is gone in Free Roam.

And the missions get pretty tough early on. Stubb's first misson is hard. Can't get near the convoy without 4 stars on me. :ouch:

I got it yesterday and I'm completely sold on it. IMO, the new missions themselves are worth the money; the new cars, weapons, and multiplayer modes and tweaks are just along for the ride.

I defiantly recommend it. You'll enjoy it weather you've barely cracked into the regular story mode or if you've beaten it.
