JCE I can't argue with you. I think the SL 55 is one of the sexiest machines on the road. I know alot of the benz fans aren't a fan of the new styling that Benz has gone too but I think it's wonderful. Oh, and the noise those things make!

I got to detail one of those this morning, what a sound, what a great looking car. I just can't believe the new Mercs aren't as pretty and muscular as this model.

Oh and if I pray to each god one by one do you think one of them can deliver me this:

The CL55/CL65 AMG is also one of my favorite Mercs.

@JCE3000GT - I not a big fan of that car, the front is out of proportion, however it's a beast on the track

I thought that this is the best thread to say that while me and my dad were out over the weekend, we saw a 2007 Mercedes-Benz C-Class test mule, it was all wrapped up. But I knew immediately what it was with my far superior knowledge of my Mercedes-Benz...

...well at least I know what my mom's next car will look like

Nice E55 pick. I dated a girl once whose parents had one of those. That thing was so mean sounding.

I think a poll would be cool, but the 300SL wins hands down in my book. It's one of the most stunning cars ever.

Sad story; My grandfather once owned a 180SL mercedes ages ago. He let his brother-in-law borrow it for the weekend to drive up to Big-Bear in California.

Well, brother-in-law forgot to set the E-brake on steep hill. You can guess what happened next, the 200SL rolled off the hill over a cliff and crashed about 200 feet down to it's doom.

My grandpa wnnt out the next day and found the radio and other parts completley taken off the car.

A very sad story of the fate of an unlucky 180SL.:

Anyway, has anyone saw the new special edition SLK AMG? It's body is carbon fibre and it has been converted to a coupe, rather than a roadster, to save weight furthermore, it's in this months edition of Top Gear Magazine along with the SLR 722

But it is a rumour, therefore probably not true, and even if Mercedes-Benz did manage to eventually fit it in a C-Class, it wouldn't be very practical, and I question it's cornering ability, AMG have really got their work cut out...

...but a 6.3 C-Class would rock my socks!
