The most annoying "GT Wishes" ever - Hall of Fame

Been a while. Alot of people will probably disagree with me, but I have what might be the most annoying two wishes. So annoying that they need second and first place...

Second place: Tire Sqeal - Honestly, who plays a racing game just for Tire Squeal? "Same as the other GTs" or "Tire Squeal still sounds like crap" Exactly, when does tire squeal sound exactly pleasent? Tire squeal isn't a big deal deal, its a nitpicking issue that alot of those who haven't driven real cars in real racing conditions tend to complain about. Until you've driven a real car in those conditions, stop complaining.

And the number one most annoying wish is...

Damage - Most will hate me, but thats all some of you know how to do. The reason I find this annoying is because it is the most overrated element that for some reason has become a unnecessary standard in racing games and is overly expected in every racing game. Honestly, What is so great about damage that makes people wet their pants? The last time I checked, unless you can't drive worth "bleep", I don't remember people wrecking their cars just for the hell of it, at least I know I don't. I'm not saying GT dozen't need damage, what I am saying is people need to stop making Damage a bigger deal then it already is. it gets damage, thats fine but keep this in mind: You better be damn good at driving because whatever mistake you make won't be forgiven. Thats my 2 cents, take it or leave it.

I agree, but I don't want to say much as I can only think of one or two people that have complained about it, and I don't want things to turn personal.

Could not agree more, damage tends to annoy me, ESPECIALLY online on games. If someone can wreck you and take you out the race, chances are some idiot either by accident or by giving up trying to pass cleanly, will brake way to late and shunt you.

Its bad enough being punted off the track let alone not being able to get back on!

^^^^👍

i know some of you might not like this...Body Modifications!

i miss the GT2 mod when you can buy weight kits (i think) and decide if you want your car modified like a real race car. the [R] if anybody remembers. or atleast a front lip, skirt kit, for aero dynamics and downforce and what not. it makes no sense when you buy a ridiculously high rear wing, and some how it controls the front downforce of the car? they dont even look good on most cars:yuck:

or atleast update the car with the appropriate parts! like when you instal a racing exhuast, they should atleast appear larger!

oh and custom paint... that would be nice

You would want to post this in the "Things you want to see in GT5" thread instead of The Most Annoying "GT Wishes" Ever.

One other thing I'd like to see if A-Spec points are kept: the abiliy to see how many points a race is worth before you're committed to it. I like a challenge, but I have no idea what the competition will be like until I start the race. And while I could simply quit out, that would screw with my stats. So if we could see A-Spec points either when we select the event we're entering or when we see the starting grid, that would be great.

That's like having the "free roam" ability, except that free roaming would be even bigger than a track editor. I mean, you'd have to have a decent-sized "city" populated with traffic and every car dealership would have to dispay all the cars available to buy ... all the disc space dedicated to such a total non-entity would better be invested in more cars, circuits and game modes.

Annoying wish? Let's try the car wishlist, pretty much every single car in existence is on there, even crappy cars that no one would use- ever. Why bother saying a car for the wishlist if you don't actually want it there? That is an annoying wish to me.

Actually, there are people that do drive literally every single vehicle(since there's wagons, trucks, and Vans too) on the game, myself and wish list editor, The Vanishing Boy included so you actually mean cars that Most people wouldn't drive seeing as not everyone feels the same about driving only certain cars on the game.

 This is a really bizarre question. How would someone put up something they won't even drive and what makes you say that? The list has cars people wish (or want)to have on the game, making it a good chance that'll they'll drive it so how would the car they want in the game be the car they don't want to drive? That doesn't sound right or logical at all.

And to people who find the "wish lists" annoying:

Wish lists don't count as a "wish" or "wishes" for the fact that these are generic "What cars or tracks do you want to see in this game", which seperate from Things people want to see in GT besides cars and tracks. This is to list things besides cars or tracks that you find annoying. Someone always says how they are there just for the sake of listing every single one. How do you know? Do you ask every person that posts there? Do you take surveys? I would like it if people stopped making that rather unprovable excuse.

Drag racing.

See, I can list a popular form of motorsport that I personally don't care for too! :)

Drag racing too

It's not that I completely don't care for it, but I think it would be better if it does not become a significant part of the game. They could spend time doing better things.

The only thing i want them to do is make sure the AI is Beefed up........Drag Racing with full Dyno Tuning.....Cockpits For every car......Full Tuning....Engine Swaps (This Require Some Time in the game not just a swap and drop....the car will be inusable for sometime...) A Full List of Mechicanic Failure (From Blown Head to Bad Spark Plugs)....And A Buy Part from Dealer Or Used......As Real it Gets.....Junk Yard....And The E30 M3......They Neva Have that car which is So Stupid.....and just keep updating the game with Downloadable Cars.....I Dont Know Know if Any of you guys remember NFS: MOTOR CITY........i swear that was the best online Racing game.......They had it downpack with everything you could ever imagine.....from used fenders to Rare Engine Parts .....they need to have the online and offline game tight......Really I Just Want All Above and Supply and Demand Community.Thats my piece
it wasnt an nfs game but simply Motor City Online and since I've play that game I wish to have all of this implemented in some sort in the GT series, for the online parts that is

my wish that will not be present in GT: roll over 💡

Oh come on, there are cars like Hyundai Getz's on the list, why would you want a Hyundai Getz on a racing game.

Thats just the thing: Its a Driving Game (Hence THe Real Drivnig Simulator) Not a racing game. Otherwise all you would see are purpose-built high powered Race cars as you do in GTR. As for why would something as pointless to you as a Hyunda Getz be in game, perhaps would be that is yet another fun vehicle to drive and really Its no different then having a Moped or scooter on TT. Sure, you as well as race fans want to race the high performance vehicles, but Thats not necessarily what everyone wants or justs wants to do in GT(one person in particular being me)

You misunderstand me, I know it's a driving game and I'd hate it just a little if all it had was high performance sports and race cars, but some cars are simply not fun, especially cars you can't really use like the Jay Leno Tank car, how many times did you get that out in GT4 and just go for a drive? A Hyundai Getz? There's even more than one model of it, just take the better one of 'em, just one of 'em and maybe then. Performance cars are the ones that should have multiple models included like Skylines, Corvettes and M3s. Slow little cheap cars that were never meant to be driven past the highway speed limit should either be left out or only have the better/most popluar model included.

That is kind of the point of having them in the game for me. I like to take cars like the Nissan Pao that have no performance DNA whatsoever and tune them to the point where they are fun to drive and competitive with other more performance oriented cars.

As for annoying wishes, anything NFSish (neons, tints and pointless bodykits) irritates me.

And what if they had 10 different models of the Pao instead of putting in something like a Pantera or any other sports car you like? Wouldn't you be annoyed then that there are only slow cars in the game and in excess rather than good cars?

^that would be annoying.....but I still wuold like to see a bit of variety.Enthusia had a good mix with everything from a pantera to a chevy astro van (i think??). The wish list is there purely for wishes, so dont get hung up on it.Im preety sure if everyone had to rank each car on the list (take @ 5 hours) from favourite to worst all the cream would rise to the top.But thats not what these games are about (the cream), there about being car encyclopedias that you can have fun (race) with (the pizza with the lot).Pizza is my favourite. That and HK monaro's!

I'm not saying that they should have 10 different models of Pao, which they couldn't as there is only the one model, but it is good to have a mix of high performance cars and everyday cars. It's part of the GT charm that it includes cars that a normal person can own, not just exotics.

Given the room available on Blue ray disks and the fact that the PS3 has a built in hard drive and the ability to download added content. I doubt there will be any shortage of cars. Granted the car wishlist is getting a bit crazy but I don't find it as annoying as the "I want to build a garage with a wind tunnel and changeable wallpaper" type wishes.
