Got to be the Audi S5. I see at least one every day, no exaggeration. Why are RS5s so much rarer? Are they really that much more expensive or are these buyers just ignorant of the fact that Audi's top line is the RS and not the S range? If they can afford one surely they can afford the other???

The RS5 cost significantly more than S5. Around £10-20k more.

The buyers are not ignorant if they choose the lower range car but it's simply, the car fits into their budget and maybe they don't want the top of the range car.

Before any extras are applied, the S5 and RS5 coupe cost £44,000 and £60,000 respectively, that's quite a big difference! :P

You cannot assume S5 owners would be able to run an RS5, maintenance costs would be much higher as would insurance.

Wow, thanks guys. Didn't realise it was 16k more expensive. I thought it was maybe 7k. But strangely I don't see that many S4s around. Craploads of S5s though

S4s are much rarer nowadays but I guess that has been the case since the S5 was released. Those seeking a sensible performance compact executive Audi do not need the extra doors apparently.

The Audi S3 is also pretty common, both the 3 door and Sportback. Not sure you would class them as high performance but they get the 0-60 sprint done in 5 seconds!

Yeah see S3s all the time. New and older ones. Pretty quick though! RS5s very rare though. In fact I see more RS6 Avants than I do RS5s....RS3s rarely though

In norway, the most common high performance car is probably the Tesla model S. I see the P85 version every day and i don't even live in a big city.

The fact that 100% electric cars are exempt from sales tax and registration fees here probably plays a big part in that. Not to mention the very high gas prices and relatively low electricity prices.

I think it really depends on where you live, but here in Michigan it's easily the Corvette, they're everywhere.

In Bratislava, up in the diplomatic oligarch quarter, you can't move for 911s and Continental GTs.

Probably 911s, here.

Although having said that there's a Maserati dealer here, so a higher proportion of Gran Turismos than you might expect.

I usually see 1-5 Model Ss per day, but E92 M3s and Continental GTs are notably common as well.

Porsches are 10 a penny around here..

Tesla's are still a Murican thing as far as I'm concerned... I've seen I think 2, ever, in the UK, I see maybe three or four a day when I was in Holland, so for sure it's catching on.. it's just stupidly heavy... I mean STUPIDly heavy...

I was going to say, the Model S seems to be a rare find in the UK only. I've only seen one.

911s where I am (East Yorks), probably hairdressers in Continental GTs second...

Not sure if these counts but...

Ford Mustang (usually from 1999 new edge facelift to 2014 mustang's 5th gen).

Dodge challenger (from 2008 and beyond).

Nissan 350z (both Coupe and roadster)

Chevrolet camaro (usually 2010 and beyond).

Toyota GT86/Subaru BRZ (usually have this spoiler):

Nissan 370z (mostly coupe)

Then there's cars like Chevy Corvette, porsche boxster, cayman, R35 GT-R, some 2 doors bimmers, audi's and mercs...

Only few electric/hybrid cars are sold here so no Tesla, Nissan leaf, volts...etc (that's means no prius...YAY!).

Corvettes, Mustangs, Challengers, Cayennes, Boxsters, and Carreras.

Same here in NE Ohio, I've even seen donked Corvettes. Oh, unless you count Mustangs, then them, by far.

911/Boxter/Caymans, M3's, R35 GT-Rs, Aston Vantages. Can't remember the last time i saw an S5 or RS5.

I see a tonne of Porsche Carrera's... But my brother would say that Maserati's are more common
