The new H2

One reason why some people dont go offroad in their SUV's is they dont know where to go and how to do it. More car clubs need to have small trecks and "expeditions" for the SUV enthusiasts and for the casual for fun SUV driver who just wants to test out what their vehicle is capeable of (ours does). Ours has one every two weeks (though I dont go every week, but my neighbor does and i usually go with him).

"Oh GREAT! Another voice nagging at you to tell you where to go"...

Whatever that is. I guess that means you're right, I don't appreciate it.

The vehicle itself may be capable but I think it is invalidated by most of the people who buy them. Then again I'm pretty PO'd that Jeep is dropping the Rubicon Trail requirement for its new vehicles. But then again 99.9repeater9% of the people who buy SUVs have no idea what the Rubicon Trail is.

They did what with when?

Jeep has about zero product development, so I'd doubt that's true - the next Grand Cherokee is an '05, though, and it's the only Jeep that Jeep might want to send to the next level of refinement. Makes sense.

Well, Jeeps are already good vehicles (when it comes to daily trailing, like if you live on a ranch or in the woods). IMO Wranglers are more of a fun, weekend vehicle, rather than a daily driver (unless you live on top of a mountain full of Billy Goats, you know, about a mile away from the Tofu Shop). The Jeep Liberty Renegade looks alright too...

i think the perfect car for people that live on mountains is a trueno ae 86, or maybe a skyline r32.... i've heard civics are good at mountainous roads too...

My dad's old 92' Mitsubishi 3000GT :). We were up in Arkansas at the time, near one of the state parks (at least I think that's what it was). Road going up hil, very sharp turns. My dad was slamming that car (and me) through that. We rented the small cabin up there just so he can drive that road. He intentionally left some things at the bottom so he could keep driving it ...

Nobody going to tell me what a "balla" is? I want to find out in case I might be one. I'd want to have it looked at in case I needed a prescription or something to cure it.

Whatever it is, you aren't one.

If your children ever say that word, send them to their room. Same with 'playa.'

Nope. Call me stupid but I think it's easier to wear a belt than it is to shuffle around with one hand in my pocket and the crotch of my jeans at my knees.

I think it is pretty telling that the H2 ads show the Hummer zipping across what appears to be badlands covered with fist-sized and bigger rocks... until the camera pans around front and you see it's driving on a nicely paved two-lane blacktop.

How about the ad that highlights the suspension? It's just driving along, and it looks really smooth, the car isn't even moving really. And then you look down at the tires, they're all over the place. That one, is impressive. I don't think I've seen your's but this one I'm talking about is on all the time.

THAT would be impressive, but I haven't seen that one. The one I saw looks like it should be like that, but when you actually see it, the car is driving on a paved road behind all those rocks.
