The penalty system is making me less sportsmanlike

Last race I think I reached critical mass when it comes to frustration with the penalty system. Turn one of Nurb GP I overtook a guy on the inside and DIDN'T EVEN BRUSH HIM. Pulled away from the turn and got slapped with a 3 second penalty, and got dropped down a tier at the end of the race. If GTSport wants to treat me like an arsehole I will eventually break and become an arsehole.
